Mel Mouth retires: 1973 - 2006

After 33 years behind the mike, "Mel Mouth" is retiring from active duty. Mel has seen it all, from our beginnings as a Outlaw Class Racing track to NHRA and Bracket Racing, to winning multi Championships in both NHRA and IHRA. We presented him with a special new Top Beaver Christmas Tree Award plus a gold watch. Mel added that he'll still come and visit on the Holidays. Look for him at Camp Simbeck/Youtzy.

Todd Dziadosz sweeps EMPA

Track photographer, Todd Dziadosz, continues to dominate the Annual Eastern Motorsports Press Association (EMPA) convention. The event held in Trevose, PA on Saturday honored Todd with  1st Place in Action and a Best in Show with this photo of own Tim Kauffman.

Todd garnered another 1st in Pure Art with this rendering of Pat Buck's Nostalgia Front Engined Dragster.

Also on hand at the festivities was Max and Jane Naylor of  Hemi powered Pro Stock Stratus fame, and Ms. Lachelle of NHRA. Todd gathered up a 3rd in Pure Art with his Funny Car X-Ray photo and two other Honorable Mentions. Yes, we do have the best photographer in the business. Now it looks like everybody else know it too.

Congratulations to Todd from all of us at BSD
