JIMMER SHEAFFER TAKES TOP STREET

Jimmer Sheaffer was on his game taking the Top Street title over Dennis Henry’s Mustang with a final round blast of 10.511 on a 10.49 to Henry’s 10.847 on a 10.82.

Modified Street was owned by Tony Null in his Chevelle over Tim “Yoda” Kocher.

“Queen Leah” Shaffer picked up her 4th True Street title in her Dodge Ram. This week over a tough Les Spade in his Tacoma truck.

John Royer prevailed in the Bike division on his Suzuki over Will Danley.

Jeff Steltzer copped the Outlaw Street crown in his S-10 over Zack Miller’s Nova.

Ben Charles outlasted a big field of ATV’s taking the final round over Weston Hoffman.

The Funny Car match race was a great one with Bob Toth taking the title in the Time Bomb Vega over Rocky Pirrone’s Super Camaro with a 6.85 at 205.66 MPH.

The finals in the 51 car field of Nostalgia Super Stockers came down to Richard Barnhart’s GTO verses Dan Wood’s Cobra Jet Mustang. Richard took the win with a right on 9.202 on a 9.20 at 146.72 MPH to Don’s 11.261 on a 11.15 at 112.12 MPH.

The Division 1/JR Stocker finals was a treat for everyone with Mike Szollosy’s `55 Chevy Wagon taking on Larry Schneider’s `57 Special Delivery. The race was over at the tree when Larry went red and handed the title to Mike. Szollosy cranked out a 13.078 on a 12.95 at 102.70 MPH to Schneider’s 14.563 on a 14.50 at 90.99 MPH.

The Gasser finals was a classic with Cricket Clonch in the Mother Nature `57 Chevy taking the title over the English Bros. `39 Studebaker. Cricket ran a 12.177 on a 12.15 at 108.19 MPH in taking the win to Bob’s 10.623 on a 10.65 at 119.88 MPH.

The BSD JR/Stock finals was a Chevy verses Ford battle with the Falcon of Bill Johnson coming out on top turning a 11.624 on a 11.50 at 114.01 MPH to runner up Randy Campbell’s red lighting 13.316 on a 13.30 at 101.43 MPH.7-12-2015-BSD-3330

The NETO Comp title fell to John Giamertone’s high winding Comet over Jerry Delanders Duster. John took the win with a 9.859 on a 9.75 at 135.54 MPH to Jerry’s red lighting 9.186 on a 9.00 at 147.63 MPH.

7-12-2015-BSD-3482The NETO Nostalgia title round was won by long time racer, Ed Hendrick, in his `72 Nova over Rich Mauceri’s `67 Nova. Ed ran a 10.140 on a 10.00 at 127.91 MPH to Rich’s red lighting 10.186 on a 10.15 at 123.13 MPH.

The A/MP champion round matched Rick Wenger’s `66 Chevelle verses Dick Ruhl’s `55 Chevy. Wenger picked up the title with a run of 11.355 on a 11.25 at 103.59 MPH to Ruhl’s 13.282 on a 13.25 at 101.45 MPH.

The B/MP finals came down to Wayne Farwued’s `69 Chevelle and Darious Wagner’s `72 Nova. Farqued took the title with a 11.439 on a 11.45 at 115.07 MPH to Wagner’s 11.999 on a 12.05 at 111.64 MPH.

Dave Weaver took the “All Weaver -Top Beaver finals over Jason Weaver’s Camaro. Dave had the tree, .020 to .027 and ran a 12.506 on a 12.48 to JW’s 8.891 on a 8.87. In taking the win, Dave earned the prestigious “Racing for Rita” trophy.

Jeff Flick put his Ford powered Altered into the winner’s circle with a final round victory over Denny Shaw’s dragster. Jeff cut a perfect .000 reaction time and ran a 8.559 on a 8.53 to Denny’s run out 7.829 on a 7.83.

Jason made it to the Top Beaver title round with a final match up against John Troxell’s Fairmont. JW had the tree, .030 to .032, and ran Troxell down with a 8.893 on a 8.88 at John’s 10.067 on a 10.05.

Sam Ficarra onboard his Ninja, near, took the Bike title over points leader, Daryl Walter’s Gixxer. Sam ran a 10.116 on a 10.11 to Daryl’s 9.848 on a 9.88.

The JR title went to Anatazia Barchefski, far, over rookie, Clay Leitzel. Anastazia ran a 8.999 on a 8.95 to Clay’s run out 12.179 on a 12.18. Clay has came a long way this season. Looks like he’s got a plan.

DINNER WITH THE BEAVER’S AT HAYWOOD’S

The Series 1 Champions celebrated their victory with the traditional “Dinner with the Beaver’s” at Haywood’s Restaurant in Muncy. Long time friend of the Beaver, Kim Walker, served up a great meal for all the Champions and their ladies. From the left: Top – Justin Badman with Staci Carpenter, Modified – Dave and Audrey Novinger, Bike – Daryl and Taylor Walter, Street – Bob and Tammy Klock. FYI: Dave Novinger (who finished second) subbed for champion Jason Weaver, as Jason couldn’t attend. He’ll be treated to a night out later in the season.
