Mean Street Nationals a big one!
Tarsia wins Insane 8

Binghamton New York's, Tom
Tarsia, carried the wheels way past the 60 foot clocks on his way
to the Insane 8 title. The blown 555 inch Chevy qualified number
one with an 8.05 at 173.35 MPH.

A happy Tom Tarsia is congratulated by event sponsor, Andy Jensen
and crew.

James Huston's wild 420 inch Ford qualifed second with a great
8.07. He fell in the finals to Tarsia's Camaro when he got out of
shape.

Jimmy's tow rig is so cool. It's his grandfather's original `64
Hi-Po 4 door, 4 speed.

James Gaylor's 355 S-10 won the Modified Mean Street title. Jeff
Horst's original 389 Tri-power GTO fell to the Chevy in round
two.

Jim Barker's potent 440 Dart stopped Chris Fisher's 406 small
block in round two.

Ann Erb's 401 AMX lasted into round three of Modified Mean Street.

John Kissinger surprised everyone by putting his little MR-2 into
the winners circle in the Mean Streeters class. Really it's no surprise,
he's the 2004 Sport Compact Champion. Yea, racing regular on
Friday Night's can pay off big time.

The Master of Faster, Andy Jensen, qualified number 1 with a 7.67.
On his 3rd time shot he learned that rods guaranteed for 100 runs
will leave the block on run 138. |
