Clark boys double up

DJ and Joe Clark doubled up and won both the JR Dragster and
Street ET titles on Sunday. "Big House" then took the
overall Top Beaver title defeating Top Champ, Dave Bratton.
The Clark boys are joined in the winners circle by cutie,
Megan, who went to the quarter finals in TCR. What a racing
family!!

Top ET found Mike McCracken leaving first (.032) on Dave
Bratton but getting caught in the traps when Dave cut a
better .021 and ran a close 8.62 on a 8.59 at 160.11 MPH to
Mike's 9.21 on a 9.17 at 149.62 MPH. It was good to see that
Mikey is back in form.

Modified finals fell to the stick shift Mustang of Mark
Charcalla over two times Bracket Finals champion, Jason
Weaver. "Charkey" forced Jason to run out with a 10.062
under his 10.08 dial when he ran a 9.909 on a 9.89 at 138.52
MPH. That was close!

Ray Kratzer was behind the wheel of John Troxell's Fairmont
after his MOPAR kicked the rods out on the final time shot
and faced Jason in the semi's. Weaver ran right on his 10.10
dial to take the win and move back into the Modified points
lead.

Dave Carpenter picked up a back to back Bike title over
Bracket Finals champion, Kenny Kauffman. "Da Carp" ran a
9.66 on a 9.65 at 135.64 MPH to Kenny's 8.82 on a 8.79 at
150.30 MPH for the title. Carp is making his move in the
points to qualify.

Street Finals looked familiar when Big House got to slap
down the Forest Ranger. Klockey cut a better light, .026 to
Joe's .048, but didn't come aroung the Duster. Joe took the
stripe with a 12.13 on a 12.11 at 108.94 MPH to the 440's
12.16 on a 12.10.

Underdog saved the day for Lee Charles when he took the
title over HRT stalwart, Derek Hartley, in his 6 cylinder
powered Chevette. Lee won with a 13.27 on a 13.20 at 99.95
MPH to Derek's 15.36 on a 15.30 at 89.48 MPH.

TCR when to Shelly the Shark in his 1980 Chevy C-10 when he
cut a .023 light and ran a 10.05 on a 10.03 at 64.56 MPH
over Miranda Miller's Duramax who trailed with a run out
10.761 on a 10.77 at 69.36 MPH. Her .193 light made the
difference.

Lil Beaver, our second chance race, went to track maintance
wizard, Cliff Eicher in his `69 Chevelle over Dave Weaver's
MOPAR. Cliff cut a .008 light and ran a 12.06 on a 12.05 at
108.18 MPH to Dave's .048 and 12.63 on a 12.64 at 106.44 MPH
to take the title.

Baby TCR went to Celina Batdorf in her Sebring over Chelsea
Kline's `64 Fairlane. Celina ran a 12.21 on a 12.18 at 59.21
to stop Chelsea's 10.28 on a 10.20 at 65.87.
WINNERS
CIRCLE

Dave Bratton picked up an Iron Tree for his Top ET win. He
was beginning to think he had to buy one of the Iron Trees.
Dave's company, Class 1, is the Eliminator sponsor.

Mark Charcalla put his stick shift Mustang into the winner's
circle. Nice job Mark.

Lee Charles and Underdog made the trip to the winners
circle. Look for Lee to move into Street eliminator in 2008.
He'll be another tough one.

Cliffie Eicher made it back to back winner's circle photos.

TODD'S TOP END SHOTS

Top Beaver finals fell to Bighouse in his MOPAR.

Mike McCracken cut a .009 and ran right on his dial to take
out Scotty Reichenbach's altered in round one of Top ET.
Mike fell in the finals to Dave Bratton's Camaro.

Ken Warsing welcomed back Bob Kauffman and his dragster by
handing him a loser ticket after cutting a .024 light and
running a 9.37 on a 9.35 to Bob's 8.22 on a 8.20.

Dave Bratton started his march to the finals on a easy note
when former
Top Beaver Champ, Rich Powell, fouled with a -.007 in round
one.

Fords met in round one of Top with Jeff McMillen's Mustang
dumping last week champ, Jim Stover. Jeff ran a 10.29 on a
10.28 for the win.

The Rhino Vega of Brian Pecht got an unearned bye when Brian
Dubbs had mechanical woes. Brian fell to Warsing's Camaro in
round two.

Points leader, Brian Vollman, took a first round win over
Doug Howard's altered.

Rookie, Ron Masanik, lost a close one to Joey Coccia's MOPAR
in round one.

In the battle of Bracket Finals Champions, "Wonderboy"
Weaver got the better of Dennis Mull after he cut a .022 and
ran a 10.13 on a 10.11 to Mull's 13.89 on a 13.85.

Jim Holland took out John Troxell's Fairmont with a closer
11.30 on a 11.29 to the 351's 10.18 on a 10.15. Ray Kratzer
also drove the Fairmont in Modified and lost to Jason Weaver
in the semi's. That Ford was hot!!

Dave Davis has Turbo Bob covered for a little while. Bob
blasted by for the win.

Tim Kauffman sits up after fouling to brother Randy in round
one.

Billy Maturo sits up and takes the win over King Ed
Fetterolf. Ed ran out the most.

Sue Vollman's Mustang won the Cat Fight over Carolyn Mull
after Carolyn fouled.

Michelle Miller took the stripe but was red giving the win
to Mike Holland in his Ford.

Dale Rhoads was closer to his dial and took the win over Dan
Dan the Baker Man.

Mopar fist fight went to Dave Weaver's Charger after Rich
Houser fouled.

Commander Ummy ran out in his Saturn and Joe went on to win
Street over Klockey.

Ken Klingman pushed the tree and lost with a .-026 foul
giving the win to Klock.

Ron Delcamp ran closer to his dial and took out Mike
Herald's tough Malibu.

Biker brothers, Daryl Walters and John Vincent.
