Walters wins Biker Blitz Iron Man
Little, Powell take Top Beaver


Daryl Walters picked up the RB Motorsports/Shields Automotive Biker Blitz title onboard his 750 Suzuki over Richie Bunting's Ninja. Daryl cut a great .014 light and ran a 10.97 on a 10.93 at 119.74 MPH to Richie's 9.24 on a 9.13 at 153.81 MPH. Daryl collected his IHRA Iron Man and BSD Iron Tree from event co-sponsor Doctor Rick.

Rich Powell made a great comeback from a dismal first series start. Rich took Sunday's Top ET title over Joey Coccia's Mopar and then went on to take Top Beaver over Modified Champion, Jim Holland with a final round 8.38 on a 8.29 at 160.11 MPH to Jim's 11.18 on a 11.14 at 121.29 MPH

Will Leitch made it an all grey hair finals in Modified. The wheel standing Mopar lost a with a red light to the GTO running a right on 10.04 at 134.16 MPH to Jim's winning 11.17 on an 11.18 at 126.35 MPH. With both Will and Jim Holland in their mid `60's they showed all of the kids that old age and treachery can beat youth and enthusiasm.

Bikers were the class of the day. What a great field of riders.

Saturday Top ET finals went to Kevin Little's Willys over Doug Howard's Altered. Kevin was on the number running an 8.93 on an 8.93 at 150.23 MPH after Doug drew a red light. Kevin went on to take the Top Beaver title over Modified winner, John Iacavone in his big block Nova.

Modified finals was all Nova's. John Iacavone's Italian Stallion `70 took the measure of Tom Housewart's `73 running out the least with a 9.91 on a 9.93 at 136.46 MPH
to the small blocks 11.17 on an 11.28 at 118.71 MPH.

Bike finals came down to a tough pair. The win fell to King Ed Fetterolf on his Turbo Hayabusa over Billy Maturo's GSXR. Ed ran a 8.80 on a 8.73 at 156.38 MPH to Billy's run out 9.46 on a 9.48 at 134.62 MPH.

The Street finals was a close one with Dale Rhoads Mustang taking the title over Dennis Kohr's classic 426 Max Wedge Dodge when Dennis took too much stripe running out by .002. The Mustang ran a 12.19 on a 12.15 at 105.85 MPH to The Mopar's 12.178 on a 12.18 at 107.60 MPH. On Sunday, Dennis went to the finals again but came up just inches short to Bob Klock's 440 Challenger.

Hot Rod Trophy was won by Brian Wagner in Ken Klingman's Mustang over Thamaira's Nova with a final round 12.55 on a 12.52 at 109.70 MPH after the Nova cut a -.002 foul. Thamaira came back on Sunday and won HRT over Tammy Klock. 

TCR was an all Smith Brothers final with Cody's Firebird taking the title over Colin's IROC. The Pontiac ran a right on the dial 10.380 on a 10.38 at 65.71 MPH to Colin's 10.05 on a 10.00 at 68.02 MPH for the win.

JR Dragster title went to points leader, DJ Clark in his blue rail over Sean Kreps. Kreps cut a better light, (.029 to .092) but ran out with a 8.94 on a 9.00 at 66.78 MPH to DJ's 9.02 on a 9.00 at 71.12 MPH.

The 32 car Lil Beaver title was won by Rob Bucher in his big inch small block Camaro over Rich Houser's 440 Colt. Rob ran out the least with a 11.029 on an 11.03 at 122.36 MPH to Rich's 11.974 on a 11.98 at 112.96 MPH. That's a .002 win!!

Baby TCR was a battle of FoMoCo's with the win going to Chealsa Kline's sharp
`64 Fairlane over Carly "Girly' Smith in her Cougar.

Baby JR went to Caitlyn Holland over Daniel Dunkelberger's Afterburner.
