When was the last time you saw a AMX Funny Car? You'll see them again at the York US-30 Nostalgia Nationals on July 15th.  Bits and Pieces set low ET with a 7.12 at 195.60 MPH!!! Henry Fryfogle (near) took the title over Dave Miller with a final round 6.50 at 214.69 MPH to Miller's 6.72 at 206.94 MPH  Jimmy Pergine's 632 inch Pontiac was a threat to win with his 200 MPH passes.  Ken Nelson's Cool Bus is off the line and chasing.  Chris Fisher was trying to hold off the Cool Bus. It was a close one!!  "Showtime" jumping over Steve-O and Jimmer. WOW!!!  Psychogang put on a great show. All the kids just love them.  RAM Pro Eliminator went to Henry Jackson's `69 Camaro over Scott Rex's Firebird with a final round 7.89 at 175.98 MPH to the Pontiac's 7.92 at 178.28 MPH.   RAM 10.5 Eliminator was the domain of Larry Rhodes. Larry stopped Brian Morrison's `66 Nova in the finals with a 8.90 at 152.67 MPH to the Chevy's 9.01 at 151.13 MPH.  RAM Drag Radial Eliminator fell to Ron Rhodes in his `68 Camaro with a 9.45 at 145.81 MPH over Jeff Kinsler's `68 Pontiac's 9.55 at 143.67 MPH shot.  RAM AMI Eliminator was all Dan Walleigh in his unique `60 Falcon. The small block powered by Mike Rowe's Yellow Horse Mustang in the semi's and went on to defeat Brian Cortell's `93 Mustang in the finals. Dan ran a 11.01 on the 11.00 index to Cortell's run out 10.94 on his 11.00 index.  The AMI (All Motor Index) Eliminator was a big field. These cars run on a set index at half second intervals. Talk about close racing. They put on a great show.  Outlaw Pontiacs found John Gaydosh's Trans Am taking the title over Steve Dress's `68 with a 7.98 on a 7.93 at 174.58 MPH to the prez's 11.99 on an 11.95 at 113.86 MPH.  WFO title went to Captain Ed Brady's `68 Camaro over Michelle McGowan's `70 Mopar with a 9.41 at 142.58 MPH to a 9.77 at 139.70 MPH |
