Vollman takes Top Beaver

Top Beaver fell to Brian Vollman in his `47 Ford Taunus over Street Champion, Bob Klock. The 351 ran out the least with a 9.81 on a 9.82 at 138.29 MPH. Klockey cut a better light (.021 to .040) but ran out the most with a 12.088 on a 12.10.

Brian is now the new points leader after taking the Top Beaver title on Sunday.
He moved by Jeff Duck with 2353 points to Jeff's 2104. The chase is on!!

 Brian Vollman took the Top title over Doug "Cooler" Howard by running out
the least with a 9.804 on a 9.83 to the Big Block's 8.439 on a 8.48.
Dr. Rick Bunting showed that he can win on his street bike stopping Daryl Walter's 750 Suzuki with a 9.38 on a 9.36 at 149.50 MPH to Daryl's 11.03 on a 11.07 at 1221.29 MPH.

In the tightest race of the day, Blase Raia, made it to the finals in the very competitive Modified eliminator. He came up just short running a 9.30 on a 9.29 at 147.75 MPH in his Pontiac powered Firebird. Dave Novinger took the win in his small block Vega with a right on the number 9.580 at 141.79 MPH with a .014 light to Raia's .013 R/T.

Murder's Row: Street was the battle of veterans again this week. And once again it was Bob Klock in his Challenger coming out on top. This time over Dave Weaver's Charger when the 400 Mopar went red.

Brian Wagner's Cougar copped the Hot Rod Trophy title over Mike Koser's stick shift Mustang with a final round 13.63 on a 13.68 at 101.38 MPH after the Hose went red.

 Dwight Shelly, in his C-10 Chevy has been virtually unstoppable in TCR. The points leader waded through a very tough field and downed Celina Batdorf in the finals with a 10.24 on a 10.22 at 61.00 MPH to the Mopar's 12.17 on a 12.15 at 58.91 MPH.   
JR dragster found the Sand Gator of Josh Kelley out first  over Mike Koser but his later .082 light cost him the win when Koser carded a 8.02 on a 7.96 at 75.13 MPH to the Gator's 9.02 on a 8.93 at 75.00 MPH. The JR fields have been big all season long.

Little Beaver: It was all over at the tree when the Cliff Hanger pulled a -.002 light giving the win over to Dean Mowery in his 440 Road Runner. Dean ran a 10.53 on a 10.53 at 128.49 for the title. Cliff ran a game 12.17 on a 12.09 at 111.85 MPH.

Mowery got by Jim Holland in the semi's with a 10.54 on a 10.53 at 124.44 MPH.

Everybody pitched in and helped Modified Champion, Jason Weaver, replace his ring and pinion. Kevin Whitmer gave him a 4.56 gear set to make round. Jason came back and spanked him in round one with a 10.14 on a 9.99. Jason did pay Kevin's way into Lil Beaver but Kevin lost to his neighbor, Rob Bucher in round one.
It's like Earl says, "Someday's peanuts, someday's shells".
