Klock
cleans them in Top Beaver
In a battle of
the champions, Bob Klock in his 440 Challenger finally ended his
dry spell winning Top Beaver over 2006 Bracket Finals Champion,
Jason Weaver. Bob had a .021 light and ran a 12.01 on a 12.00 for
the title when Jason went red with a -.002 and ran a 9.85 on a
9.85. Talk about the tough guys.
Brian Vollman's `47 Ford Taunus won the Top ET title over Joey
Coccia's 440 Omni after both drivers cut a .040 light. The 351
Ford ran a right on 9.70. Joey ran out by .021 with a 8.929 on a
8.95 at 153.97 MPH. Vollman now moves to second in points.
Bike eliminator found another Kauffman taking the title. This time
it was Tim Kauffman over King Ed Fetterolf. Ed left first and drew
a red light giving the win to Tim with a 8.46 on a 8.47 at 154.13
MPH
The Modified title was Jason Weavers over Dave "Gunner"
Miller. Jason took the title by .005 in a tight one. On Saturday
"Wonderboy" won the Iron Man Classic at Pittsburgh
Raceway over Kevin Romeo. He is shown here with his $100 PRP shirt
and his Iron Tree in the winners circle.
Street was the battle of veterans. Dale Rhoads cut a better light,
.008 to Bob's .019,
but Dale took too much strip with a 12.031 on a 12.00 giving the
win to the Mopar.
Clark Kent Knudsen in his stick shift Mustang copped the Hot Rod
Trophy title again over Thamaira Boyle by running out the least
with a 12.499 on a 12.50 to the Nova's 14.282 on a 14.30. These
two are neck and neck in the points chase.
Megan Clark is out first in her Taurus and held on for the win
over Cody Smith.
Cody ran too quick with a 10.40 on a 10.45 at 64.19 MPH
JR dragster was
a battle of the Back Road Kids with the win going to Kyle Kohr's
Hemi over Brian Vollman. Kyle took the win with a great .056 light
and ran a 8.92 on a 8.85 at 71.75 MPH. Brian ran a game but late
10.92 on a 10.80 at 57.07 MPH.
The VW Top Bug title went to Karen Matheson in her red Bug over
David Snowden's Kinky Green Bug. Karen cut a great light and ran a
10.60 on a 10.52 for the title. |
