In round one Will took out the number three qualifier, Chris Fisher, when he laid down a 9.45 at 144.88 MPH to Chris's 9.63 at 151.69 MPH.

On the other side of the ladder, Rich Stauffenberg upset number two qualifier (9.03 at 151.79 MPH), Claud Glidewell's 434 small block Vega with a great hole shot .029 and ran for home winning with a 9.29 at 146.41 MPH to the Vega's 9.12 at 151.77 MPH.

Chris Fisher had his Chevelle hooked qualifying #3 with a 9.14 at 151.28 MPH.

Rich dropped number four qualifier, Merv Moyer in the semi's with a 9.49 at 140.36 MPH to Smurf's 9.71 at 151.36 MPH. Stauffie was on the tree all day.

Brian Snyder won the Sport Bike title onboard his Hayabusa stopping all the Yocum Motorsports team with a final round 9.60 on a 9.62 at 140.49 MPH to Dave Davis 'Busa's 8.94 on a 8.98 at 159.71 MPH. Both bikes are street legal. WOW!!

Track maintance guru, Cliff Eicher, put his wife, Karen's Camaro into the finals of the  handicap Street Auto eliminator with some outstanding driving. Cliff pushed the tree and came up red with a -.004 to Will's .012 green. Mark's took the title with a right on the dial, 9.41 at 145.60 MPH to Cliff's 14.54 on a 14.60 at 96.54 MPH.

Street Stick fell to Barry Parson in his 331 Mustang over Brad Specht's Firebird.
Barry ran a 11.20 on a 11.12 at 113.19 MPH to Brad's 12.81 on a 12.54 at 112.72 MPH.

In the semi's of Outlaw Street, Mike Yourky out of Hancock, MD made it close running right on his dial of 9.82 at 137.74 MPH only to fall to Horting's better light.

Al Matuska put his 589 inch Chevelle into the number five qualifying position with a 9.26 but fell to Capt. Ed Brady in the first round when the Captain carded a 9.04 at 153.47 MPH. However, Al moved into the number three spot of the 100 MPH Club with his 153.13 MPH blast.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda: John Fisher in his 582 inch Camaro and his buddy, Troy Green with his 572 inch Challenger could have made the WFO race a whole lot quicker if they would have just brought along their mufflers. Both cars were street legal except for the exhaust. They carded a 8.92 and 8.98!! That would have made Rich Stauffenberg's Monte on the bubble at a 9.26 and Champion Will Marks not making the field!! You can bet they'll have them next year.
