8th Annual Flashback Friday
What a race!!!

The 28 cars in Nostalgia Super Stock came down to a battle bewteen MOPAR and Chevrolet with Craig Balmer's 426 Max Wedge taking the title over Steph DiMino's 427 A/FX `66 Impala with a 11.40 on a 11.30 record at 120.56 MPH to Steph's 9.38 on a 9.40.

JR Stock was taken by Craig Johnson in his 428 Cobra Jet Mustang over Randy Campbell's 327 `67 Impala with a 13.798 on a 13.80 at 98.82 MPH to Randy's 13.183 on a 13.20 at 103.60 MPH. JR Stock is so cool!!

Rocky Pirrone took the A/GS match race over John Foust with a stout
8.88 at 154.98 MPH in his Hemi powered Boss Hydro.

In the JR Fuel match race Jim Rothermal's Chevy took the win over John Worm's Ford entry with a 9.08 at 155.68 in round one. Round two fell to the Ford. Looks like another match up is in the works for the Jalopy Showdown Drags in October.

In the heads up WFO finals was the race of the night with Captain Ed Brady in his 421 Camaro squeaking out the win over Michelle McGowan's 572 inch MOPAR with a 8.886 at 157.83 MPH to the MOPARS 8.878 at 157.56 MPH. Now, that's a race!!

How close was the race? Take a look.

Merv Moyer had his new combination working just barely dropping in the semi's to Captain Ed's Camaro with a great .011 light to Ed's late .133. It almost cost Ed but his top end charge of 8.76 at 158.03 was enough to stop "Smurfs" 9.01 at 152.98 MPH

Larry Taylor gave Michelle a run for her money in round one with a great .013 light to Michelle's .117 but her 8.91 at 156.90 MPH overcame Larry's 9.24 at 146.62 MPH.

Bill Marks pushed the tree on Captain Ed and got caught red handed.
Ed took the race with a unreal 8.85 at 150.72 MPH.

Nostalgia ET was a Ford verses Chevy finals with Ronnie Cranmer's  514 inch `57 Fairlane taking the title over Ron Maslanik's 434 inch `68 Camaro with a 11.00 on a 10.99 at 124.25 MPH to Ron's 9.569 on a 9.61 at 139.49 MPH.

In the all MOPAR Nostalgia Street finals the title was won by Woody Slaterbeck in his 73 Satellite 440 over Buch Markel's 440 Road Runner with a 12.868 on a 12.62 at 96.82 MPH to Butch's 12.30 on a 12.24 at 111.71 MPH.

Out of the smoke emerged, Sue Vollman in her 351 Mustang to take the Outlaw Street title over Jeff Foresman's USA-1 Camaro with a 11.94 on a 11.88 at 114.94 MPH to Jeff's 10.74 on a 10.70 at 125.19 MPH. The lady can drive!!

Street Stick was an all Mustang affair with  Matt Danner taking the win. Matt ran a 13.09 on a 12.70 at 96.43 MPH for an easy win when Barry Parson's had problems.

Street Automatic finals fell to Bill Marks in his wheel standing 442 Olds over Jackie Kohr's 340 Dart. Bill ran a right on 9.13 at 147.90 MPH to Jackie's 13.13 on a 13.17.

Frank Pellegrini takes on Kenny Montgomery in time trials. Frank had low ET of the meet with a 8.88 at 157.75 MPH in his A/FX 427 Falcon.

Dawn Pearson was behind the wheel of the 422 Motorsports 427 Galaxie.

We had our quickest field ever with the bump spot an astounding 9.38 for real street legal cars that are licensed, insured, inspected and through the mufflers.

Bill Marks Olds qualified 5th with a 9.21 at 146.74 MPH
Will Marks qualified 7th with a 9.31 at 147.61 MPH

Larry Taylor's 430 small block MOPAR qualified 6th with a 9.217 at 147.44 MPH.

Michelle McGowan put her 572 inch Satellite in the number two spot with a 8.96.

Aaron Smith made the 4th slot with a 9.087 at 150.30 MPH in his stick shift Chevelle.

Brad Parr was on the bubble with a 9.380 at 144.48 MPH.

Nostalgia ET semi's Barry Donnelly verses Ronnie Crammer.

Mike McCracken dropped a close one in Nostalgia ET to Ron Maslanik.

What is it? Well, it's a Mercedes roadster. Mac Dean of Brockway, PA dropped this race to Barry Donnelly's Hemi Cuda when he ran out with a 9.85 on a 9.87.

Stephanie DiMino had quite the crew join her in celebrating her runner up in a very tough Nostalgia Super Stock eliminator. The crowd favorite dropped in the finals when she ran out by .018. Ouch!!
