'Larry Taylor back in Top Street form.
Larry Taylor is
back it Top Street and showing his form.
Taylor picked up the tough title over Dennis Henry's stick
Mustang wen the 392 inch Ford faltered on the line. Larry cruised to
a 9.35 on a 9.29 at only 138.01 MPH.
Sport Bike was a battle of Hayabusa's with Bob 'Fig' Newton coming
out on top over Dave Davis when Dave drew a foul. With both riders
running almost identical ET they ran the final on a "Heads up first
to the finish. "Fig" took the title with a 9.42 to 9.48.
Street Stick fell to Matt Danner in his Mustang over Jeff Russell's Camaro
.
Street Automatic was a close one with Commander Umberger taking the
title in his Comet GT overpoints leader Mark Russell's Dodge Ram. "Ummy"
ran right on his 12.92 dial to take the win when Mark ran under with
a 16.11 on a 16.16.
Outlaw Street: John Troxell had the field covered and took the title
in his Fairmont over Craig Shaner's classic `57 Chevy gasser.
Former JR Dragster Champion, Jeremy Campbell, has dominated the
Sport Compact this season but fell to a very fast Craig poust in his
hot CRX. Even with a better light he could not hold off the 12.87 on
a 12.85.
It was a
Family Affair again in Bone Stock truck when Will Marks in his white F-250
stopped dad, Bill, in the finals when Bill fouled. Will ran a 16.47
on a 16.52 for the title. Bone Stock Truck is one of the most popular
eliminators on Friday's.
Everybody has a truck!
Nick Diggens has the most popular truck at the track. The big turbo
Dodge laid down a 13.20 in full street trim. Look out Mustangs.
The
ATV title went to Rich Klase's Banshee's over Rich Poorman's classic
3 Wheeler with a 15.67 on a 15.55 at 77.27 MPH to the Honda's run
out 21.72 on a 22.04.
TCR was an all Pontiac affair with Tyler Gardner's Trans Am coming
out on top. Tyler ran a 10.22 on a 10.20 at 67.74 MPH to Brandon
Renninger's 12.18 on a 12.19.
FYI:
TCR is a great eliminator, Teen Championship Racing, where kids ages
13 to 16 can compete in Street Legal cars over an 1/8 mile. what
fun!!
