Gentleman Jim Holland wins Top Beaver


Top Beaver was a popular win for Gentleman Jim Holland of Shade Gap, PA. Jim used a .015 light and a 10.99 on a 10.97 at 121.70 MPH to put his GTO into the Top Beaver winners circle over Bill Bair's `Busa which had a close .030 light but ran out with a 9.144 on a 9.15 at 146.57 MPH. Sandy and the girls cheer on the victory.

Top Beaver semis had Bill Bair just nipping Jason Derr with a a right on 9.15 at 141.24 MPH to JD's 7.87 on a 7.84 at 171.46 MPH. Sure looks close to me.

In the all dragster Top ET finals, Jason Derr took the win over Rich "Sasquach" Powell with a 7.86 on a 7.83 at 173.81 MPH as Sasquach fouled with a -.026 and ran a dead on 8.260 on a 8.26 at 164.74 MPH.

Top Beaver semis fell to Jim Holland over Street winner, Bob Klock when Jim had a .050 light to Bob's .049 and ran a 10.98 on a 10.97 to Bob's 12.18 on a 12.15.

Modified finals was a double run out affair with Doug Kline's Hemi Road Runner going under the most with a 11.296 on a 11.32 to Holland's 10.979 on a 10.99.

Bike title was over at the starting line when Ken Kauffman drew a -.036 red, giving the win to Bill Bair's `Busa with a 9.157 on a 9.17 at 146.60 MPH.

 The veterans in the traps, Bob Klock and Dale Rhoads. The title went to Klock's 
440 Challenger over Rhoads 302 Mustang with a 12.20 on a 12.15 at 109.05 MPH to Dale's 12.30 on a 12.28 at 107.09 MPH. Nobody has more combines wins than these two drivers. Street Eliminator is without a doubt the toughest at the Beaver. To quote IHRA Champion Michael Beard, "If you can win here, you can win anywhere".

Ray Lear picked up his first title in over 10 years with a final round victory over points leader, Thamaira Boyle when he ran a 13.67 on a 13.60 at 102.56 MPH to Thamaira's 14.75 on a 14.69 at 96.90 MPH. Way to go Ray!!

TCR went to Colin Smith in his Firebird over Valerie Hagens with a 10.27 on a 10.25 at 65.35 MPH to Val's late 11.947 on a 11.96 at 60.61 MPH.
