Jay Zolko's 427 Comet
wins Nostalgia Super Stock

The Savvy Savoy of Bob Roles is out first in the finals of Nostalgia Super Stock over Jay Zolko driving the 422 Motorsports `64 Comet 427 wagon. The big Hemi took too much stripe by .003 running a 9.597 on a 9.60 at 142.85 MPH and Jay picked up the win with a 9.14 on a 9.10 at 138.54 MPH. 

The big winner was Jay Zolko in the Dyno Don Nicholson "Ugly Duckling" `64 Comet 427 Station Wagon. He is flanked by his mentors, Dink Bishop and 422 master, Rich Lamont.

NHRA Stock-Super/Stock finals was an all Chevy affair with National Champion, Brian Worner taking the title running a 10.304 on a 10.32 at 128.93 MPH to stop Marty Reinhart's classic `69 Camaro's 9.895 on a 9.92 at 125.01.

Andy Lowry is out first with his Maverick over Dahrl Clark's Mopar in the finals of Nostalgia ET. Andy rany a 13.73 on a 13.70 at 98.60 MPH for the win when Clark went red. with a -.013 light.

Nostalgia Street fell to BSD standout, Faron Rhoads in his Supercharged 390 Mustang over Jerome Hillier's `72 Maverick. The Mustang ran a 11.62 on an 11.59 at 122.41 MPH to take the win when Hillier ran out by .034.

The greatest!! Jungle Jim Lieberman Nitro Funny Car. What a sound!!

In an all out grudge match,Phil Bonner's Daddy Warbucks Falcon ran down the new Warbucks II Cobra Jet Mustang of Don Fezzel with a 7 second pass.

First Class action. Bob Rosetti wheeled the Rolling Stone Funny car to the Funny Car match race win with a 7.40 blast over Tweety's Rat.

The Double AA Gas Supercharged match went to Rocky Pirone in the
Boss Hydro over K.S.Pittman. What a show!!

Daddy Warbucks came back out and spanked Larry Knapps A/FX Cammer Mustang after giving a 2 second head start. That Falcon flyes!!

It's the Worner twins.

...and their dad Tim. Tim started racing at BSD on the very first event on Memorial Day 1971 in a 1966 Olds 442 W-30, 3-2bbl. Ram Air.

BSD's longest time supporter, Steve Sweitzer, broke out his fast Firebird for the record event. Bob Cupp's brought his `65 Malibu up from Virginia.

Super Stock Camaros were everywhere.

National record holder and Beaver home boy, Wes McCracken.



Division 1 standout, Tex Miller in his 351 Cleveland Mustang.

Even Beaver Bob the Ford guy likes Marty Rhinehart's SS/EA Camaro.

BSD's webmaster, Michael Beard made the trek from North Carolina in the Duck Tape Volare. The tough little Mopar made it to second round only to run out more by .004.!

Bill Marks put his 9 second Olds in the JR Stock winners circle. Check out the special award crafted by Charlie Innerst. It's now a Marks family heirloom.

Canadian, Derrick Nowe, put his 440 Mopar powered Henry J in the winners circle for the East Coast Gassers trophy. His daughter exclaimed, "We won the Stanley Cup"  "We won the Stanley Cup" !!! Beauty ehh!!

Paula Nappi was the N.E.T.O. Nostalgia champion in her Corvette.

Jerry Hillier in his Maverick was runner up in N.E.T.O. Nostalgia.
