SS FURIOUS HEADS UP CHAMP

Chris Shaffer behind the wheel of his SS Furious took the final round win over Graham Taylor's Vega with a 11.959 on a 12.00 F/Highway index at 112.02 MPH to Graham's 9.953 on a 10.00 B/Highway index at 125.00 MPH. Chris cut a great .008 light on the .500 Pro Tree to stop Graham's .040.

In the semi's Graham ran a 10.03 on his B/Highway index and took the win over I/Highway champ, Mike Jones in his Mustang. Mike cut a .011 light to Graham's .032 but ran out with a 12.983 on his 13.00 Index.

In the quarter finals, Mark Frank ran a 14.519 on his K/Highway index of 14.50 but Graham's 10.025 on the C/Highway index of 10.00 was too much for the TCR star.

Jackie Kohr had a great .018 light in her I/Highway class winning Dart but ran out with a 13.498 on her 13.50 index letting Mike Jones Mustang pick up a close win with his 13.013 on his H/Highway index of 13.00.

A/Highway champ, Eric Krell cut a .006 red and gave Chris Shaffer a bye into the finals in his SS Furious `66 Plymouth.

Graham Daddy Taylor was too much for Jon Freed's new Camaro in round one.

In was a  battle between former TCR champs, Jed Seigler in his Fairmont and current TCR star, Mark Frank in his White Lightning, with Mark picking up the win with a 14.51 on a 14.50 index to Jed's 11.17 on a 11.00 at 123.43 MPH.

In the battle of Mustangs, Mike Jones put away Rowe's Yellow Horse with a .011 light to Mike's late .117. Jones ran right on his 13.00 index at 106.10 MPH.

Eric Krell stopped William Weller's Ranger in the first round of the Index class winners run off with a 9.65 on a 9.50 to Weller's 10.72 on a 10.50.

In the battle for class it was a pair of TCR stars, Autumn Miller verses Mark Frank. Mark prevailed in his White Lightning. Malibu. 

CLASS WINNERS

Chris Shaffer along with Leah won both a F/Highway - 12.00 Index class championship and the overall Top Snookie in his popular SS Furious `66 Plymouth.

Graham Daddy Taylor with Olivia picked up a runner up in the Top Snookie and the B/Highway - 10.00 index title in his Vega.

The A/Highway - 9.50 index champion was Eric Krell in his `79 Malibu 565.

William Weller picked up the C/Highway - 10.50 index title in his Ford Ranger.

D/Highway - 11.00 index champion was Jed Seigler in his potent Fairmont.

Mike Rowe was the E/Highway - 11.50 index champion in his Yellow Horse Mustang.

Mike Jones put his low buck Mustang into the H/Highway - 13.00 winners circle.

Jackie Kohr was the I/Highway - 13.50 index Champion in her 340 Dart.

Jon Freed drove his new 2010 Camaro to the J/Highway - 14.00 index title.

The K/Highway - 14.50 index champion was TCR star, Mark Frank in his White Lightning Malibu. Mark is joined by his parents, Wayne and Pamela and his girlfriend, Megan, plus event Sponsor Dave Snook.

The L/Highway - 15.00 index Champion was Jamie Colahan in his 96 Mustang.

It looked like an Iron Tree forest just waiting for the class champions.

      The future of Heads Up Index Racing in 2010
Everyone that ran in the Heads Up Index Race had the same comment, "This is the coolest race ever. It's too bad we didn't have more cars. If we can get the guys to give it a shot, we know they'd love it."  Well we agree completely.
To that end we're going to make the races very special in 2010. All of the racers are in agreement that having three special events would be perfect. The dates ...Memorial and Labor Day Fridays, plus Flashback Friday. We'll showcase the race on three of our biggest races that feature Bob Motz 200 MPH Jet Truck and Nostalgia Super Stockers.
