Fig Newton wins Top Beaver
...on a street legal Hayabusa!!!

The finals of Top Beaver found Bike champ, Bob "Fig" Newton verses
Modified champ, Cliff Eicher. With a .053 to a .052 light it was won
at the finish line when Cliff ran out running a 12.073 on a 12.09 to
Fig's winning 9.52 on a 9.40. Fig's win marked the first time a
totally street legal bike has ever won Top Beaver.


It was ladies day in Top ET with Sue Vollman taking the title over
former TCR Champion, Heather Putt when she laid down a 8.37 on a
8.36 with a .002 light over Heather's 8.363 on a 8.36 with a .012
light. Now you know why there were no guys in the finals. Talk about
tough love.

In the all Hayabusa finals it was Bob Newton taking the win over
Lenny Yocum with a 9.60 on a 9.40 at 128.93 to Len's 10.49 on
a 9.85 at 139.29 MPH.


Modified had Carolyn cutting a .011 to Cliff's .045 but at the other
end it was Cliff's `69 Chevelle taking the win with a 12.087 on a
12.08 at 112.72 MPH as Carolyn ran out with a 12.043 on a 12.17 at
106.88 MPH.

In the showdown of the champs, it was Dale Rhoads in his Mustang
taking the win over points leader, Dave Weaver for the Street
Eliminator title.

The Hot Rod Trophy finals was a Comet verses Chevette affair
with Al Judy's 302 Merc taking the win over points leader, Derek
Hartley.

Sue is out by .005 against Cliff Eicher in the semis of Top Beaver.

Dale missed the break pedal in the semis of Top Beaver against Fig.

Bent Noll took too much stripe against Brian Pecht giving up the Lil
Beaver win.
WINNERS CIRCLE

Sue Vollman became the 10th different winner in Top ET. She is
joined by Jackie Kohr and Paula Vincent. These girls are tough to
beat any time.

Oh yea!! Deacon Dubbs baptized Sue real good.

The Tech Man got `em right!!
Gary Enders caught them all napping when Cliff Eicher and friends
posed for their victory photo after winning Modified.

Bob "Fig" Newton was "The Man" of the day winning Bike and Top
Beaver. Dave Davis looks like he's up to no good doesn't he?

Yes he was!! Deacon Davis administered baptism rights to Fig.

Dale gets a winning kiss from Mrs. Rhoads for winning Street
Eliminator.

Al Judy proudly poses with his trophy for winning Hot rod Trophy.

Carly "Girly" Smith picked up the TCR win and the points lead.

Brian Pecht took home the mega posting $300 to win Lil Beaver.
An additional $150 was posted thanks to Jason Derr of JD Web.
33 cars made first round with payouts going back to the semis.
Only at the Beaver: No Buy Backs, just Lil Beaver for $10. What a
deal.
BONUS SHOTS

Michelle Orwig, along with Evan, won big in the 50-50 drawing when
Jason Derr of JD Web in Lewistown donated a 22 inch Dell flat screen
monitor for the winning ticket. Then the $150 collected in the 50-50
was added to the Lil Beaver purse for a $450 total payout.
Did it work? You Bet!! 33 cars made first round. Thanks JD!!

The final Kauffman, Tim, fell in the semi's of Bike to Lenny Yocum.

Dale Rhoads moved into the finals with this win over Bud Poust's
Nova.

Kevin Whitmer in his Camaro picked up the semi's money in Lil Beaver
with this win over Chad Ferster's Mustang.

Zack Miller is looking pretty good in the second round of Lil Beaver
but Ray Lear's perfect .000 light, his third of the day, was too
much for the Nova.

Chief "Fire Water" Pete Wallace has led his tribe back to the
reservation. These injuns will be tough in the second series.

"Howling Dog" Jason Howell, is making a run at second series points.

Dave Dissinger's 10.50 Vega is one tough ride.

Todd Thoman made the trip from York and won his very first round.

Blaine Feeser had a real sharp Vega wagon also.


Steve and Rusty Miller are old school cool.

Warren Frank had low ET in Modified with his 8.60 Corvette stick
car!!
