KING ED CROWNED TOP BEAVER

King Ed Fetterolf is out first with a great .011 light to Jason
Weaver's .028 in his Class 1 Transport sponsored dragster. At
the stripe it was the King taking the win with a 8.642 on a 8.62
at 156.90 MPH to Jason's 7.717 on a 7.70 at 177.06 MPH. The win
put Ed in the field for a qualified position at the Brackets.

Hit me with your best shot. Ed told Dennis after six years of
almost winning Top Beaver, just give it to me heads up. Ed said
it felt really good.

The 21 car field of Triple Zero Club came down to a battle
between Street points leader, Dave Weaver in his 360 Charger and
Top Hot Shoe, Mike McCracken in his Big Block Nova. Dave showed
why he was in the club cutting a .001 light to Mike's .049 and
then running a 12.70 on a 12.66 at 106.95 MPH to Mike's run out
9.058 on a 9.10 at 148.90 MPH to take the prestigious title.

With both drivers having a .008 light it looked light a good
finals in Top ET, but Jim Stover's Pinto was on the negative
side giving the title to Jason Weaver. "Wonderboy" ran a 7.705
on a 7.71 at 177.27 MPH to take the title to Jim's 10.417 on a
10.46 at 128.33 MPH.

Modified was another Muscle Car final with Rick Knipe's 440
Challenger taking on Cliff Eicher's `69 Chevelle SS. With both
drivers cutting .040's it was a race to the stripe with Cliffie
taking too much of it running a 12.083 on a 12.10 at 112.23 MPH
giving Rick his first ever winh with a 10.154 on a 10.17 at
136.54.

Bike had the best pair of lights in a final round match up
between King Ed Fetterolf and Bill Bair's Screaming Yellow
'Busa. Ed cut a .005 and ran a 8.564 on a 8.54 at 160.17
MPH to take the win away from Bill's .011 light and a run of
9.155 on a 9.12 at 143.17 MPH.

The Masters met in the finals of Street with Bud Poust in his
396 Nova facing Bob Klock in his 440 Challenger. Bud laid a .020
light on Bob's .081 and ran out the least with a 12.147 on a
12.17 at 109.02 MPH to Bob's 12.083 on a 12.13 at 107.75 MPH.
Klockey is making a strong come back after suffering a fatal
engine problem in series one points.

Derek Hartley is out first with his Chevette in the Hot Rod
Trophy finals over Hot Rod Ray Lear. Derek got to the stripe
first but ran out with a 15.368 on a 15.40 at 83.24 MPH giving
the win to ray who ran a 13.173 on a 13.09 at 105.53.

TCR was a girl verses boy battle with Johnna Crone in her Monza
taking the win over Mark Frank's "White Lightning" Malibu when
she laid a .039 light on Mark and ran a 15.78 on a 15.74 at
80.35 MPH to Mark's 15.00 on a 14.99 at 88.53 MPH. The
difference was her .039 to Mark's .179 snoozer.

Jr Dragster had a rookie take the title when Dalton Roles took
the win over Caitlyn Holland with a 7.93 on a 7.91 at 75.40 MPH
to Cait's 8.45 on a 8.43 at 76.68 MPH. These Beaver kids are
really good.

Gentleman Jim Holland has a lot of distance to make up on Dennis
Mull's Monte Carlo, but he did just that taking the Lil Beaver
title in his GTO with a 10.99 on a 10.97 at 126.52 MPH to
Dennis's run out 14.630 on a 14.64.
BONUS SHOTS

Dalton Roles thought he had escaped the traditional Beaver
Baptism after picking up his first ever win in JR Dragster in
his rookie year. Deacon Kohr made certain he was properly
brought into the fold.

The one and only, Mel Mouth, paid us a visit and returned to the
mike for a couple of rounds. He is truly one of the greats. We
look to see him over Labor Day. I'll bet he can set a new record
at the Reverend's table.

Dr. Rick is in the hunt for the Bike title, but Kenny has him by
two rounds.

Olivia just loves the drags. What a cutie, She belongs to the
Graham Taylors.

Bill Weller was working the bugs out of his new Ranger. It runs
in the 10's.

Beaver ladies: Bobbi, Kathy, Karen, Sandy and Ethel. They're the
greatest!!

the best ever.

Street Champ, Bud Poust, ran under his 12.15 dial with a 12.11
giving the win to King Ed in round one of Top Beaver.

Rick Knipe fell to Weaver in the first round of Top Beaver with
a red light.

Bob Kock looks like he found his old winning form in Street.

Friday Street Racer standout, Mike Harpster, wowed the racers
with his 9 second passes in his street legal small block Ford.

Street.

Even in the heat the track was pretty good for almost everyone.
