Nintendo Bracket Finals![]() Defending Street ET Champion, Dave Weaver was not pleased at all. ![]() We showed support for the team but not for how the event was finished. To
say that Team Beaver is upset as to how the Bracket Finals was
conducted would be a major understatement. Team Captains, Mother
Hen, Sister Nancy and myself went into the track operators
meeting with support for a run off at home or carrying over the
event for a double Bracket Finals next year. We were out voted
by some really misguided track operators. In the end they voted
to have a practice tree race to determine the class champions
and the overall Bracket Finals Team Champion. That is just
totally wrong on all counts. Most all of our team stayed until
the bitter end showing support for the team but a total disgust
for the format chosen. I vow that this will never again
happen and have our team be any part of it. You can bank on it.Please note: This was not an IHRA decision. They simply carried out the decision of the majority of tracks. FYI: Beaver was in the minority. Q: Who won and where did we finish? A: Who cares and it doesn't matter!! Beavers looked good in the Gamblers Races Ed Fetterolf is King of Kings ![]() ![]() "King Ed" Fetterolf won both Thursday and Friday Gamblers races in the "All Beaver Finals". Ed defeated Billy Maturo on Kenny Kauffman's Best Appearing Bike on Thursday night and then came back and defeated Dave "Da Carp" Carpenter in Friday's action after being spanked bad (.0005) on the tree. ![]() Kevin Little in his Best Engineered nominated Willys took a runner up in Friday's $3000 Box race. He just got nipped at the tree. BSD Points Champion, Jason Derr missed the finals by .003 with his dragster. It could have been an All Beaver finals again. ![]() Leroy Klinefelter got down to 3 cars when the rains hit on Thursday night halting action. The drivers split the purse with Leroy set to have a bye. Shucks!! ![]() Barbie Beaver and Kathy celebrate Leroy going into the finals!!! ![]() Big House with DJ who went to the finals in the JR's Gamblers on Friday night. ![]() ![]() The Chinese Auction paid for a great meal for the entire team. We'll do it again. ![]() Kathy and Karen are to be commended for a great job in making it happen. BEAVERS AT THE FINALS ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pittsburgh's great team, Steve the announcer and Carman Tedesco the chef. ![]() Next year, I'm a Beaver. In summery: It's a shame the biggest race of the season was ran off the way it was, but as Beavers we were having a great time with all of our team mates right up until Sunday. We have to look back at this and say never again. Then look forward and say we'll be at the top in 2010. |
