JEFF DUCK IS GRAND BEAVER



Jeff Duck picked up the Grand Beaver title on Monday with a final round victory over Hemi John Simbeck when he ran a 7.77 on a 7.75 at 164.47 MPH to get around Pope John's .001 light. Simbeck ran a 9.12 on a 9.02 at 152.67 MPH.

Dick Goodman presents the Goodman Memorial trophy and Jason and April Derr awarded the new Dell lap top computer to Jeff for his big win. Rylee and Donna display the Iron Tree for winning Top ET.

Sue Vollman is out first on a good .019 light over Jeff Duck but she couldn't cover her 8.17 dial, running a 8.23 at 165.62 MPH. Jeff took his second title of the weekend with a 7.79 on a 7.77 at 163.81 MPH.

Cliff Eicher is out first in his Chevelle with a .019 light to Will Leitch's .067 in the finals of Modified. At the stripe Cliff took too much running out by .004 to Will's 10.12 on a 10.10 at 133.19 MPH.

Points champion, Kenny Kauffman is out first over Dr. Rick Bunting's Hayabusa but Doc's .026 light and a run of 8.64 on a 8.62 at 150.77 MPH forced Kenny to run under his 8.62 dial with a 8.608.

Dave Weaver is on his way to the Street title over a red lighting Dale Rhoads. Dave cut a .010 and ran a 12.633 on a 12.60 at 108.00 MPH to stop Dale's -.009 red and a run of 12.124 on a 12.17. They finished 1 and 2 in points.

T-Bird driver, Kyle Rhoads, put his ride in the winner's circle over a red lighting Derek Hartley when he ran a 12.87 on a 12.86 at 107.30 MPH to Hartley's -.016 red and a run of 15.289 on a 15.27 at 89.99 MPH. With the runner up, Derek captured the Hot Rod Trophy championship.

Cody Gibson was looking for his second win of the weekend in Jr Dragster but Caitlyn Holland denied him the pleasure taking the title with a 8.54 on a 8.51 at 76.72 MPH to Cody's 7.949 on a 7.95 at 81.16 MPH.

WINNERS CIRCLE

Will Leitch and family and friends join him to celebrate his Modified win.

Dave Weaver closed out the season picking up his fifth win in Street. He's going back to defend his Bracket Finals title as our Street Champion again.

The entire Rhoads family joins Kyle to celebrate his Hot Rod Trophy title.

Pam and Wayne join Mark in the winner's circle for his victory in TCR.

Caitlyn Holland put it all together on the final day of points to pick up the JR Dragster title. She was on her game.
BONUS SHOTS

Top ET drivers, Mike McCracken, Heather Putt and Brian Dubbs were all tied at 3950 points in the last qualifying position for the Bracket Finals. They all agreed to settle the spot by drawing cards. Mike won with a Jack. A happy finish was in store as Heather and Brian were chosen as the two alternates.

Carly Smith celebrated her TCR title win with a burn out.

HEMI JOHN SIMBECK TAKES TOP BEAVER

Modified champ, Kevin Whitmer is out first in Top Beaver cutting a .014 light to Hemi John's close .016. AT the stripe it was HJ taking the title with a 9.002 on a 8.96 at 153.95 MPH to Kevin's run out  10.020 on a 10.03 at 134.08 MPH.

Hemi John Simbeck is joined by his friends to celebrate his wins in Top ET and a big $1000 Top Beaver title. The MOPAR was on all day long.

Hemi John Simbeck laid a .001 light on Leroy Klinefelter's .016 and won the Top title with a 8.97 on a 8.96 at 154.61 MPH to Leroy's run out pass of 7.71 on a 7.73 at 175.88 MPH.

Modified finals came down to a battle of F-bodies with points champion, Kevin Whitmer taking the title over Steve Miller's Firebird. Kevin ran a right on 10.050 on a 10.50 at 136.32 MPH to Stop Steve's 10.750 on a 10.78 at 124.80 MPH.

The 45 car Pro Stick finals pitted Dan Hoyer's Mustang against Ted McGann's Firebird. In a close one it was Ted taking the win with a 10.308 on a 10.30 at 124.67 MPH to Dan's 10.833 on a 10.81 126.95 MPH.

Looking like a street race in the mid `60, the finals of the MANDRA title came down to Randy Campbell's `67 Impala verses Bruce Thomas in his `63 Galaxie. The Ford took the win with a 10.39 on a 10.30 at 124.94 MPH to the Chevy's 13.56 on a 13.37 at 103.44 MPH. 

Richie Bunting's Hayabusa took the Bike title over 2009 points champion, Kenny Kauffman's Ninja with a pass of 8.55 on a 8.50 at 177.09 MPH to Kenny's 8.52 on a 8.54 at 152.43 MPH. Think Richie was spraying a little?

In another tight race, Bob Klock's 440 Challenger took the Street title over Gunner Miller's 350 Nova with a .018 light and running a 12.013 on a 12.01 at 109.11 MPH to Dave's .017 light and running a 12.076 on a 12.10 at 106.64.

Val Hagens put her `99 Monte in victory lane with a final round win over Tom Risbane's Monte Carlo when she ran a 16.62 on a 16.60 at 83.65 MPH to Tom's run out pass of 12.21 on a 12.28 at 107.56 MPH.

Rookie, Bronson Mowery, in his Chevy fell to hot shoe, Johnna Crone's Monza when she ran a 15.87 on a 15.80 at 84.53 MPH to Bronson's foul.

Double Trouble: Brother's Cody Gibson and Jake Wood met in the JR finals with both boys dialed 7.97 it was Jake taking the title running out the least with a 7.938 to Cody's 7.934. The difference .004!!
WINNERS CIRCLE

Ted McGann is congratulated for his Pro Stick win by El Presidente'

Philadelphia Fireman, Bruce Thomas, took the MANDRA title. His `63 Galaxie was Beaver Bob's odds on pick to win it all but he fell to Richie's `Busa.

2009 Modified Champion, Kevin Whitmer, has everyone from top end in his victory photo after taking the title in Modified and a runner up in Top Beaver.

Richie Bunting became the first of two Buntings in the Bike winners circle taking the title on Sunday's event. Earlier in the day Richie set a new top speed for street legal bikes with a terrifying 182 MPH blast!!!

Bob Klock found his way back to the winner's circle in Street.

Johnna Crone captured her third TCR title of the season. A very happy family and friends join in the celebrating.

It was a family affair in the JR Dragster finals with Jake Wood defeating his brother Cody. The boys qualified first and third for the Bracket Finals.

Top Beaver: Bruce Thomas is out first in his big Ford but Richie ran him down.

JEFF DUCK TAKES TOP BEAVER

The Top Beaver finals came down to MANDRA champion, Gene Droogan in his Pontiac verses Top champ, Jeff Duck. It was late and Gene was a little tired cutting a snoozer .269 light. Jeff laid a .024 on him and motored right on by for the title with a 7.93 on a 7.75 at 141.35 MPH for the win.

In a double red light finals, Ken Warsing got the worst of the deal fouling first in his Keith's Dream Camaro leaving first with a -.002 to Jeff Duck's -.004. Duck picked up the win with a right on 7.75 on a 7.75 at 174.92 MPH.

Bill Smith cut a perfect .000 light and streaked to the win over Kevin Baker's Finished Business Nova. Bill ran a 8.58 on a 8.39 at 156.35 MPH to Kevin's late 9.054 on a 8.97 at 150.52 MPH.

The overall MANDRA title was on the line when class A Champ, Lew Stitley in his Tijuana Taxi faced off against class B champ Gene Droogan. It was all over at the tree when Lew went red giving the win to Droogan. Gene ran it out with a 11.92 on a 11.86 at 114.19 MPH for the title.

The Modified finals was a real close one with Quarter Aces hot shoe, Lester Holtzapple getting off the line first in his 440 Cuda. He took too much stripe running out with a 10.873 on a 10.88 at 123.05 MPH as Blasé Raia took the win with a 8.767 on a 8.75 at 149.52 MPH.

In the IHRA Bike finals Dave Carpenter prevailed over Tim Kauffman when Tim went red. Carp ran an easy 9.70 on a 9.46 at 112.45 MPH for the win. Tim trailed with a 8.75 on a 8.47 at 116.59 MPH.

NHRA National Record Holder, Billy Nees in the Nees's Pieces Nova put down Bob klock's 440 Challenger to win the Street title by cutting a .024 to Bob's .070 and running a 13.77 on a 13.72 to Bob's run out 11.98 on a 12.00.

Jared Brungart is out too soon in his Grand Am with a -.092, giving the Hot Rod Trophy title to Tyler Thomas in his Firebird. Tyler ran a 13.26 on a 13.24 at 104.34 MPH.

In a real tight JR Dragster finals it was the Repozest rail of Cody Gibson taking the win over Mark Vasbinder with a 7.97 on a 7.97 at 82.28 MPH to Mark's run out pass of 8.980 on a 9.00 at 67.03 MPH.

WINNERS CIRCLE

Jeff Duck won one for the sponsor with a major win in Top earning him the Scott's Transmission Iron Man which is being presented by Scott and Patty.
He then went on and captured the overall Top Beaver title. What a night!!

In Pro Stick the low ET qualifier, Bill Smith, went on to victors over 49 cars.

Blasé Raia came back from an early season engine problems to dominate Modified in the Scott's Transmission Iron Man Classic.

Dave Carpenter showed all of the Bikers he still has what it takes to put together a big win when the Iron Man is on the line.

A real happy Tyler Thomas and friends celebrate a big Hot rod Trophy win.

Johnna Crone has really been hot in TCR picking up another win.
