WEAVER IS GRAND BEAVER

Jason Weaver had the come back of his life over the Labor Day
Nationals. He entered the weekend in 13th place with 4053 points
in Modified. He went to work on Saturday with a semi's showing
and then went back to back on Sunday and Monday winning Modified
and Top Beaver on both days. He then faced Saturday's Top Beaver
Champion, Samantha Dubbs in the Grand Beaver run off and won the
Dick Goodman Memorial trophy and a new Dell Lap Top computer
from Jason and April Derr of JD Web of Lewistown. Jason finished
up the weekend picking up 2404 points and winning the
Modified championship. Talk about moving from the out house to
the penthouse.
WAY TO GO JASON!!

The Grand Beaver finals had Samantha Dubbs in her dragster
facing Modified champion Jason Weaver. Jason was out first on a
.028 light to Sam's .023 and held on for the win with a 9.913 on
a 134.87 MPH to Sam's 8.170 on a 8.12.

Jason Weaver cut a .016 light to Mile McCracken's .006 and ran closer to
his dial of 9.88 with a 9.909 to take the Top Beaver title on Monday.
Mike slipped a little carding a 8.855 on a 8.76 at 151.66 MPH.

The Top ET finals pitted two good friends in Mike McCracken's
`10 Camaro against Jason Derr's dragster. Mike was out first
with a .031 and ran a 8.773 on a 8.76 at 155.89 MPH in stopping
JD's 7.525 on a 7.49 at 176.71 MPH. It was a tough season for
Mike with a lot of breakage but he got it all together on the
final day picking up his only win of the season.

"Brass Man" had a great weekend winning the Mod title and an Iron Man on
Saturday.

In the IHRA Bike finals Dave Carpenter was out first with a .088 light
but Richie Bunting countered with a .008. At the stripe it was Richie
taking the win with a 8.171 on a 8.08 on a 146.38 MPH to Carp's 9.724 on
a 9.69 at 132.32 MPH.

Dale Rhoads had just clinched the 2010 Street Championship in his
classic
`66 Mustang when he met Bob Klock's 440 Challenger in the finals. Bob
took the title with a .002 light to Dale's .050 and ran a 12.162 on a
12.10 at 105.79 MPH to Dale's 12.274 on a 12.19 at 97.90 MPH. Look's
like nobody wanted the stripe on this one.

The finals of Hot Rod Trophy went to Bob Witmer's Camaro over Al Judy.

Mark Frank defeated Carly Smith to score a clean sweep in TCR.

The JR Dragster finals pitted rookie, Dylan Weader verses Jake Wood.
Dylan cut a .020 to Woody's .062 and then ran a 8.91 on a 8.85 at 70.63
MPH to Jake's 8.047 on a 7.95 at 81.95 MPH.

The Lil Beaver title fell to Tom Hoover's Camaro over Gentleman Jim
Holland's GTO when Jim went red. Tom carded a 10.467 on a 10.46 for the
win.

Baby JR title went to Bryce Vollman over Danae Role's RepoZest.

BONUS SHOTS

Rich and Heather are happy to make the team for the Bracket Finals.
Heather finished 50 points ahead of Mike McCracken. If Mike would have
won Top Beaver, he'd made the team by 50 points. Talk about a close
chase!!

Mike McCracken's 2010 Camaro stopped Dr. Rick Bunting in the
first round of Top Beaver with a .016 to a .094 light.

GIRL POWER: Top Eliminator star, Samantha Dubbs, backs
Christine (Mayo) DiBartolomeo into the water for her meeting with Bob
Klock.

Mayo was out first with a .013 light and Klocky countered with a
.006. At the stripe it was Bob taking the win with a 12.16 on a 12.10 at
108.23 MPH to Mayo's 15.39 on a 15.36 at 82.41 MPH


Is that cheeter or cheater Mike? In good hearted fun Mike McCracken and
Jason Weaver take a cheap shot at each other. I guess spelling isn't
Mike's strong suite. But guess what, they both can drive real good.

FAMILY AFFAIR: April and Jason Derr faced off in the semi's. April went
for the light and cut it too close with a -.005 red to Jason's .031. JD
won with a 7.500 on a 7.48 at 177.69 MPH to April's 9.842 on a 9.80 at
134.28 MPH.

IS TOP BEAVER

Modified champ, Jason Weaver and Top champ, Frank Romeo, met in the
finals of Top Beaver. Both drivers were out on decent lights (.033 to a
.042)
and ran right on their dial ins with Weaver taking the title running a
9.822 on a 9.82 at 132.23 MPH to Frank's 10.255 on a 10.25 at 133019
MPH.

The Pro Stick finals was an all Beaver affair with Chris Sheaffer's SS
Furious taking on Mark Charcalla's Mustang with the win going to
Charcalla.

The Top finals was a close one with Frank Romeo out first in his Vega
with a .021 light. Hemi John Simbeck countered with a .015 but ran out
with a 8.777 on a 8.78 at 151.71 MPH giving the title to Frank's 10.265
on a 10.24 at 130.39

Jilly Aurand cut a better light, .023 to .030, over Jason Weaver but at
the stripe it was JW taking the win with a right on 9.849 on a 9.84 at
139.36 MPH to the MOPAR's 10.961 on a 10.91 at 111.81 MPH.

Kenny Kauffman was looking good on his Kawasaki taking the tree but at
the stripe, Mike Charcalla's `Busa called the shot with a 9.978 on a
9.95 at 135.44 MPH to Kenny's 8.626 on a 8.56 at 142.49 MPH.

It was an all Nova finals in Street with Christina DiBartolomeo running
under in her V/Stock Automatic giving the title to Gunner Miller's 12.04
on a 12.01.

Shirley Lear put her Camaro into the Hot Rod Trophy winners circle over
Zack Miller's Nova recording a 14.420 on a 14.34 at 91.07 MPH to Zack's
14.872 on a 14.73 at 86.56 MPH.

Mark Frank in his White Lightning Malibu took the TCR title over Shania
Taylor's Minotaur Dodge with a 10.031 on a 10.02 at 64.34 MPH to the
MOPAR's run out 11.885 on a 11.89 at 59.76 MPH.

Kyle Kohr cemented his JR title with a win over Caitlyn Holland in the
finals with a 7.901 on a 7.93 at 82.39 MPH when Cait went red and
running a 8.02.

Klinefelter.

MANDRA champion, Bruce Thomas, in his 1963 Galaxie 427, dropped
Pro Stick
champ Mark Charcalla in the first round of Top Beaver.

Kevin Murphy had one of the favorite cars of the weekend running Pro
Stick.

Old friend's came back home to the Beaver, Flash Gordon and Sparky
visited both Saturday and Sunday. Sparky went to the finals in Street on
Saturday.

Missy O'Neill lost a close one to Leroy Klinefelter in the semi's of Lil
Beaver.

Samantha Dubbs was on fire over the Labor Day weekend taking Top Beaver
on Saturday. Sam made a race out of the chase finishing 5th in Top ET.

The finals of Top Beaver pitted Dave Weaver's Charger against Samantha
Dubb's dragster. With both drivers cutting almost identical lights, it
was a run for the stripe with Sam picking up the win running a right on
5.203 on a 5.20 at 132.00 MPH to Dave's 8.267 on a 8.21 at 83.08 MPH.

In the all Pontiac finals, Russ White's GTO won the 40 car field Pro
Stick finals over Ted McGann's Firebird running a 6.270 on a 6.26 at
109.18 MPH to
Ted's 6.484 on a 6.50 at 105.70 MPH.

The MANDRA finals was an all Beaver affair with locals Marc English and
Friday stand out, Bill Marks facing each other. Bill cut a .031 light
and ran by Marc with a 5.665 on a 5.63 at 116.36 MPH to the MGA's 6.122
on a 6.11 at 111.80 MPH for the title.

In Top ET it was an all ladies finals with Samantha Dubbs facing Sue
Vollman. Both drivers had safe (re: late .097 to .079) lights with Sam
picking up the win running a 5.177 on a 5.16 at 133.59 MPH to Sue's
4.985 on a 4.94 at 135.27.

The Modified finals had pit mates face off with Cliff Eicher getting the
handicap lead over Dave Brassington. Cliff took too much stripe and Dave
covered his dial in running a 6.740 on a 6.73 at 100.22 MPH to Cliff's
7.617 on a 7.66.

The Bike finals had the 2010 Champion, Dr. Rick Bunting facing 2009
Champion Kenny Kauffman facing each other. With Kenny cutting a .015 to
Doc's .048 it was over at the line as Kauffman ran a 5.371 on a 5.33 at
129.51 MPH to the Doc's 5.150 on a 5.14 at 131.34 MPH.

In a rare all Dodge Charger, Street eliminator finals, BSD standout Dave
Weaver took the title with a 8.223 on a 8.18 at 80.75 MPH to Greg
Gordon's right on but late 7.478 on a 7.47 at 92.15 MPH.

The Hot Rod Trophy finals had Carly Smith facing John Crone's Camaro.
Carly was too fast running out with a 10.315 on a 10.35 at 66.13 MPH to
John's winning 7.796 on a 7.77 at 87.54 MPH.

The TCR finals had Dennis Shaw JR out first in his S-10 but Mark Frank's
Malibu over came the tree and took the title with a 10.043 on a 10.05 at
61.86 MPH to Shaw's run out 13.043 on a 13.10 at 53.01 MPH.

With header flames belching out of Kyle Kohr's dragster, Rylee Duck is
out and gone on a better light and takes the win with a right on 8.047
on a 8.04 at 83.55 MPH to Kyle's 7.934 on a 7.90 at 83.86 MPH.

The second chance Lil Beaver had Brian Freels "Jungle Jim" Nova taking
on Don Carnell's dragster. Don pulled it out with a right on 5.047 on a
5.04 at 134.38 MPH to Brian's 6.767 on a 6.75 at 100.20 MPH.
