Denny Shaw repeats. Wins Grand Beaver
RHOADS, BOYER, SHAW go back to back!!


In a run to the stripe, Denny Shaw kept his Ventura just a fraction of an inch ahead of Captain Ed Brady's Pro Stick Mustang to win the Grand Top Beaver title. Denny cut a .011 light and ran a 9.25 on a 9.20 at 145.41 MPH to stop the potent Mustangs 8.724 on a 8.71 at 154.95 MPH top end charge.

The Grand Beaver Champion, Denny Shaw is flanked by April and Jason Derr of JD Wed Company of Lewistown. Denny is being awarded his new Dell Laptop computer for his big win. Along with his Goodman Memorial Trophy, it doesn't get any better than this. Way to go Denny!!

Denny Shaw was all business in the finals of Top ET when he met points leader, Hemi John Simbeck. Denny cut a .001 light and ran to the stripe with a 9.25 on a 9.22 at 141.59 MPH to HJ's 8.95 on a 8.92 at 153.45 MPH.

The finals of Modified looked like a street race battle from back in the `60's with Doug Kline's Hemi Road Runner taking on Faron Rhoads blown 390 Mustang. Doug had the light and the stripe winning with a 11.27 on a 11.24 at 113.76 MPH to Faron's 11.382 on a 11.39 at 118.96 MPH.

Dave Carpenter is too soon with a -.016 red giving Mikey Boyer  back to back wins. Mike ran a 9.567 a 9.58 at 139.51 MPH for the win.

The Street finals pitted two of the best. In a Chevy verses Ford battle, it was Dale Rhoads Mustang taking the win over Bud Poust with a 12.45 on a 12.42 at 106.19 MPH to Bud's 12.348 on a 12.35 at 109.43 MPH.

The Hot Rod Trophy finals came down to Sean Boyle in his Mopar against Mike Orwan's Nova. In his first finals Mike left before the green giving the win to Boyle with a 15.63 on a 15.16 at 84.10 MPH.

The little Duck is out first on a .012 light as Jake Wood goes red.
Rylee ran a right on 9.100 on a 9.10 at 72.00 MPH for the title.


BONUS SHOTS

Dale had the tree on Denny, .033 to .059, but took took much stripe by .007! The Mustang ran a 12.410 on a 12.41 to the Pontiac's 9.213 on a 9.22.

No it's not a prom date, Carolyn and Dale Rhoads take a victory lap down the track to celebrate back to back wins in Street Eliminator.

Modified champion of the day, Doug Kline with Jilly ride out to congratulate the winners after losing a close one to his buddy, Chipper Rhoads. Doug was hot, taking a runner up and a title over the big weekend.

Oops, it's red. Jason Derr missed a chance to make a final round appearance.

ICE CREAM BREAK




With temperatures hovering around 90 degrees, Beaver Bob treated everyone to ice cream. Needless to say it was a big hit. Everybody loves ice cream!!

Even though Dick Goodman was hospitalized, he made sure the tradition continued and had his step son bring down the impressive Goodman Memorial trophy. Everybody wants to win one.

The Man of the weekend, Denny Shaw, celebrates a great weekend winning Top ET back to back and then capturing the Grand Beaver title over Captain Ed Brady's Pro Stick Mustang.

Mikey and Pam Boyer celebrated back to back wins in IHRA Bike. He's hot!!

Dale, Carolyn and Faron Rhoads took the Street title both Sunday and Monday.

Sean Boyle picked Beaver Bob's pocket for $100 in winning Hot Rod Trophy.

Rylee and Grammy Duck with her new Iron Tree for winning JR Dragster.

Mark Frank is starting his own forest, collecting two Iron Trees and dominating the TCR Eliminator over the holiday weekend.


Pay back time
After Gary absorbing an entire day of the line guys spraying him with water, Gary got them all back with a set up plan by Beaver Bob. As the saying goes, "Old age and treachery trumps youth and enthusiasm every time".

Denny Shaw takes Top Beaver
Fords sweep Pro Stick!

The finals of Top Beaver pitted Top ET champ, Denny Shaw's Ventura verses Pro Stick champ, Barry Parsons in his Mustang. At the tree Parson was out  first but, Shaw's better light ran him down for the crown.

The boards light up and Denny took the win.

For the second day in a row, the 40 car Pro Stick finals came down to an all Ford finals as 2008 Champion Dan Hoyer took on Lewistown PA's Barry Parson. With both drivers running right on their dials, Barry's little better light, .032 to .047, made the difference. Parson won with a 11.063 on a 11.06 at 123.45 MPH to Hoyer's 10.919 on a 10.91 at 121.57 MPH.

In the Top finals, Keith's Dream is out on a good light but Denny Shaw's Ventura was not to be denied his day taking the title with a 9.208 on a 9.21 at 145.48 MPH. It would prove to be just a good starting point for Denny over the Memorial weekend.

Gunner Miller is out with a better (.022 to .058) light over Fran Reed's Chevelle but Frank was on the number picking up the Modified title running a 11.21 on a 11.19 to Gunner's 12.07 on a 12.01 at 108.56 MPH.

A pair of Bracket Finals Champions battled for the Bike title. Mike Boyer was out first onboard his `Busa as Kenny Kauffman left too soon with a -.029 red light. Mike took the title with a 9.582 on a 9.59 at 138.93 MPH.

Beaver Street standouts, Dennis Mull and Dale Rhoads met in the finals with the Ford picking up the win when Dennis went red with a -.005. Dale ran it out the back door with a winning 12.34 on a 12.37 at 106.90 MPH for the win.

Hot Rod Trophy was a Chevy verses Mercury finals with Zack Miller out first in his Nova. In a double run out at the stripe, Brian Wagner's Cougar took the win with a 13.39 on a 13.42 to Zack's run out 14.72 on a 14.76.

The 42 car Lil Beaver finals was an all Camaro finals with `09 Modified Champ, Kevin Whitmer's `68 taking the win over Dave Catherman. Kev ran a 10.10 on a 10.06 at 126.67 MPH to take the win over Dave's 10.25 on a 10.22 at 127.73.

Running for the stripe. Chanda Ross, near side, was out on a little better light and held off a fast closing Jake Wood to win the JR title. Chanda ran a 8.776 on a 8.76 at 74.50 MPH to Jake's 7.911 on a 7.91 at 82.33 MPH.

Long & Company Fords win again!!

Pro Stick was an all Ford, all Long Shifters, G-Force Trans finals with Merv Moyer out first and Captain Ed Brady right behind. But a look at the tree found Merv going red with a -.045. At the stripe Ed ran a 8.67 on a 8.61 at 155.44 MPH for the win to Merv's 9.52 on a 9.45 at 141.62 MPH. Ed then went on to take the Top Beaver title on a solo when Jeff Duck couldn't make the call.

  Top ET finals was a heads up affair with both Leroy Klinefelter and Jeff Duck dialing 7.82. Jeff cut a .014 to Leroy's .019. Leroy took too much stripe running out with a 7.817 at 160.59 to Jeff's 7.826 at 168.57. What a race!!

In a battle of the Beaver seniors, it was Lou Drayer in his antique tagged Chevette picking up the win over Bud Poust with a 9.35 on a 9.30 to Bud's run out pass of 10.781 on a 10.79 at 113.09 MPH.

The 32 entry Bike field came down to Billy Bair and The Doc. Billy missed the tree with a .297 light. Stunned at the late light, Doc left with a -.060 giving the win to the Screaming Yellow `Busa and wasting a right to on the dial 8.08 to Bill's off pace 9.53 on a 9.11. Hey! Some days peanuts, some days shells.

Mike Holland's Fairmont is out first in the Street Finals over defending points champion, Dave Weaver in his Charger. Mike was able to run the number with a 13.69 on a 13.67 at 86.87 MPH to Dave's 13.10 on a 12.84 at 102.97 MPH.

YES!! Mike wins!!

Hot Rod Trophy was an all Ford affair with Kyle Roads picking up the win in his "Thunder Chicken" T-Bird over Brian Wagner's Cougar with a 12.12 on a 13.09 at 97.60 MPH to Wag's run out 13.42 on a 13.45 at 97.60 MPH.

Dad's give the touch in the JR finals. Rookie Gage Ross lost fire giving the title to D-Man Dalton roles. Dalt ran a 7.98 on a 7.90 at 69.38 MPH for the title.

True Sportsmanship was shown by Doug Kline in his Hemi Road Runner. When Bud Poust got out of shape because of a missed oil down, Doug agreed to a re-run and lost a close one running out with a 11.161 on a 11.19 at 121.85
