The IHRA Iron Man Finals

The Beaver Blast Iron Man Championship came down to 15-17 age champ, Allison Bell, and 13-14 age eliminator, Robbie Allen. Robbie was out with a better light, .028 to .133, but he couldn't cover the number as Allison took the title with a 8.171 on a 8.16 at 82.17 MPH to Robbie's 8.184 on a 8.08 at 74.26.

The TCR: Teen Championship Racing, IHRA Iron Man finals went to Saturday's Champion, Dana Loffredo Slow-burbane over Mark Frank's White Lighting Malibu. Dana ran a 11.35 on a 11.31 to take the title when Mark ran out with a 9.97 on a 10.00 dial.

SUNDAY'S ELIMINATIONS

The finals of 15-17 Eliminator had two of the best face off. Allison Bell was on her game cutting a .047 light and picking up the win over Julian Paone's Hooter's entry with a 8.190 on a 8.15 at 81.07 MPH to Julian's 7.973 on a 7.92.


The 13-14 Eliminator finals had Robbie Allen JR facing AJ Whitman with Robbie taking the win when AJ went red. Robbie streaked to the title with a 8.012 on a 8.04 at 80.41 MPH to AJ's 7.971 on a 7.94 at 80.58 MPH.


In the 10-12 eliminator, Madeline Culbert drew a red light handing the title to Brady Kile. Brady ran a 10.332 on a 10.27 at 60.99 MPH for the title as Madeline ran right on her 8.90 dial at 75.73 MPH.


The 8-9 Eliminator had Bryce Vollman facing Ryan Ely. In an almost heads up battle, both drivers were out on identical .114 lights. At the stripe the scoreboard  light up in Bryce's lane with a 13.038 on a 13.04 at 49.09 MPH to Ryan's 13.019 on a 13.03 at 49.97 MPH.

Bryce Vollman is one happy driver.

In the 41 car TCR finals it matched BSD hot shoes, Kyle Kohr in his 340 Dart against 2010 points champion, Mark Frank in his 350 Malibu. In a double break out the title went to Mark with a 9.991 on a 10.00 to Kyle's 10.107 on a 10.14.

The JR ATV finals matched Tim DiIorio on his quad verses Darren Egick's dirt bike. In another double break out race the title went to Tim with a 10.907 on a 10.93 at 56.39 MPH to Darren's 14.9141 on a 14.95 at 40.87 MPH. 57 kids made the first round. Talk about having fun!! Just another Beaver original.

The 48 car Little Beaver finals came down between Austin Argoe verses Megan Culbert. In a double break out affair it was Austin picking up the title with a 8.004 on a 8.01 at 78.82 MPH to Megan's 7.920 on a 7.93 at 83.43 MPH.

IHRA IRON MAN CHAMPIONS

Cutie, Allison Bell, won the 15-17 age eliminator and then went on to capture the Iron Man. She's joined in the winners circle by her racer friends and family.

WINNERS CIRCLE

The DiIorio (think: D-Oreo) family were a dominating factor at the Blast with 15 year old Shelby winning both the Quick 32 and the All Run eliminators on Saturday and brother 17 year old Tim, winning JR ATV Sunday and Overall title.
Talk about having a bunch of Jersey friends in the photo!! What a family!!

Saturday's bonus races were dominated by Shelby DiIorio winning both in a convincing fashion. What a class act driver and a true beauty in all aspects.

Robbie Allen of Earleville, MD was the man to beat in taking the 13-14 age title.

AJ Whitman of York, PA took a runner up in the 13-14 age eliminator.

Gettysburg's Brady Kile, took the title in the 10-12 age eliminator.

Madeline Culbert was the runner up in the 10-12 age group eliminator.

BSD's own, Bryce Vollman, took the 8-9 age eliminator. He's also one of the group of Tiny Terrors that dominated the Pit Vehicle Challenge on Saturday.

Ryan Ely of Mont Alto, PA was the finalist in the 8-9 year age eliminator.

IT'S TIME FOR ICE CREAM



Beaver Bob's dad, Fast Eddie, sponsored the free ice cream in
Big Rita's memory. Everybody loves ice cream.

Beaver Bob's favorite dog, Buttons, came back for another Beaver Blast.
What a cutie!! We'll be looking for her again at the 8th Annual Blast in 2011.

Marty and Beaver Bob want to thank everyone for their support of the event. We heard it all weekend long, "This is the most fun event ever, it really is a Blast".
In my 40 years of running the Beaver, I can tell you this is my all time favorite.
We'll be looking to see all of our friends again next year.
