THE GREAT RACE
VOLLMAN'S HEMI WINS SUPER STOCK

The finals of the 38 car field in Nostalgia Super Stock was a
Hemi match up with Brian Vollman wheeling Bob Roles `70
Challenger to the win over Ron McClelland's `66 Coronet. Brian
won running out the least with 11.187 on a 11.20 at 117.35 MPH
to Bud's 9.777 on a 9.80 at 136.84 MPH.

Ron was out on a great .031 light but ran out by .010 more. To
his credit, Ron, was a crowd favorite with his wheels up
launches every round. You got to love it.

Ron stopped Kevin Grason's Bounty Hunter in the semis. Kevin
went on to win the 422 All Star race in Saturday's Pack the
track action.

The JR Stock finals came down to Ford verses MOPAR with Barry
Donnelly's 426 Hemi Cuda taking the title over Craig Johnson's
Falcon. In one of the closest finals of the night Barry took the
win with a 9.409 on a 9.40 at 131.32 MPH to Craig's, oh so
close, 12.392 on a 12. at 106.71 MPH.

Barry's daughter screams with joy for his win.
Yes, we could hear her in the tower.

The Nostalgia ET finals was over at the tree when Richard
Kuhlman's Camaro went red verses Brian Donnelly's MOPAR. Brian
ran a 10.805 on a 10.83 at 123.59 MPH to Kool's 11.811 on a
11.92 at 113.59 MPH.

The finals in the WyoTech WFO eliminator was an all Mark's
finals with Bill taking the title over junior with a 8.53 at
160.68 MPH to Will's off pace 9.36.

The Nostalgia dragster match race went to Jason Keeler's Chevy
over a game Audrey Worm in her Ford. It was a close one for
sure.

The Street Stick finals was a close one with Chris Shaffer
cutting a .022 light to John Briner's .016. At the stripe, the
SS Furious too the win running a 11.240 on a 11.30 at 116.47 MPH
to the mustang's 14.282 on a 14.38 at 94.81 MPH.

The Street Auto finals was a Chevy vs. Ford showdown with Jed
Seigler's supercharged Mustang taking the win over Rob
MacDonald's Chevelle Jed ran a 10.054 on a 10.02 at 131.35 MPH
to Rob's 12.478 on a 12.49 at 106.60.

It was heads up at the tree in the Sport Bike finals between Sam
Koonsman's Vulcan and Bob Newton's Hayabusa. "Fig" picked up the
win with a 9.505 on a 9.47 at 144.32 MPH to "The Cruiser's"
12.944 on a 13.06 at 97.08 MPH.

Craig Poust in his Civic has dominated Sport Compact recently
winning his third title this season. Craig stopped Kori
McCloskey's Acura in the finals with a 15.665 on a 15.20 at
68.54 MPH to Kori's 17.508 on a 16.85 at 79.56 MPH.

The Bone Stock Truck finals was a ladies only affair with Leah
Shaffer's Ram taking the title over Girly Smith's Durango. Queen
Leah ran a 16.394 on a 16.35 at 81.06 MPH to Carly's 17.047 on a
17.00 at 80.22 MPH.

Steve Hull is out first on a great .013 light over Dwight
Shelly's .097, but Steve took way too much stripe running out
with a 23.191 on a 23.40 to Dwight's17.008 on a 17.21 at 67.39
MPH.

TCR was an all Mustang finals with Darren's Webb's coupe
defeating Brian Vollman's rag top. Darren ran a 10.520 on a
10.48 at 70.76 MPH to Brian's red lighting 10.215 on a 10.17 at
69.51 MPH.

The JR ATV finals was a double breakout affair with Dylan Weader
picking up the win over Sarah Marks running a 12.090 on a 12.10
at 47.98 MPH to Sarah's 10.858 on a 10.93 at 55.50 MPH. Talk
about kid's having fun, 18 kids made first round. JR ATV is the
place to be on Friday nights.
NOSTALGIA SUPER STOCKERS
They were the show

Elliott Pickett's set low ET with a 8.43 blast in his all
Pontiac powered Tempest.

Frank Pellegrini blast out an 8.61 in the 427 Falcon, Dearborn
Thunder.

George Abert's mid 9 second 427 Comet. It's one of Beaver Bob's
favorites.

The Dyno Don 427 A/FX Comet on a 8 second run.

Bob Roles lays down a 9.00 run in his SS/BA Hemi.

Jerry Loeb's 426 Dodge takes on Ciro Mangnue's 427 stick shift
Ford.

Paul Hillier's SS/C 427 Fairlane.

Bob Fort in the Jersey Duke 426 Max Wedge.

The big guy, Dave Collette, in his massive 426 Hemi Belvedere.

Dave Wood's 428 Cobra Jet.

Kyle Reasbeck's 426 Dodge lost a close one to Craig Balmer's
Plymouth.

Sean Pickett's lays down a 9.50 in the Moody Blue Tempest.

Allen George's real deal 409 Impala.

Ron McClellend's 426 Hemi was on the bumper every round.

Kevin Grason's 426 Bounty Hunters Dodge stopped Joe Daloreto's
427 Chevy in the quarter finals.

Steve Consentino's rare `62 Dart station wagon. The Yankee
Clipper.

Brant Kelley's 427 Fairlane wagon. How many of these do you
think Ford built?

Randy Peer's 421 Tempest making a low 10 second pass.
BONUS SHOTS

Graham going for the 8's with a wild "Juice pass"

This is the last photo Graham Daddy's Vega where the roof and
body is smooth. Graham rolled the car but was unhurt. He'll be
back Friday in a new ride. We understand it's another blue
Chevy.

WINNERS CIRCLE

Beaver regular, Brian Vollman, won the prestigious Nostalgia
Super Stock title in Bob Roles' 426 Hemi Challenger. Brian was
on the tree every round.
