FRIDAY'S BIG SHOW - WASHED OUT

May 27, 2011

A mechanical problem shut the big jet down when Bob went to afterburner. When that happened, the parachutes automatically deployed. Bob's son Scotty is scrambling to get Bob fired up before the rains hit but when it happened the second time, the rain had caught us.

Is that a tornado on it's side coming down the track?

Over 150 cars packed the track in anticipation of a big night. Rich Nye's
`64 Fairlane T-Bolt is one of the best.

April Derr and Michelle Orwig were the quickest in Outlaw Street.

The Miller Boys were wheels up in time shots.

Eric Shrom launches into a forbidding looking sky.

The skies open up at 7:30 and the rain stuck around until midnight.
Over 2 inches of rain fell and made the pits a soggy mess.

RAIN CHECKS ARE GOOD
With us only being able to get in one round of time shots and no runs by
Bob Motz, your tickets are worth full value. The individual tickets are color coded and worth $15. A carload ticket is valued at $40. Only 1 ticket in a carload has value and it is marked and coded. The rest have a zero value.
All tickets are stamped with a date that have a value. As is the policy at the Beaver, the tickets are good anytime for any event. We look to see you here
on Labor Day when Bob Motz will be back for another great show.
