WEAVER IS GRAND BEAVER

The tree tells the story as Marc English in his cool MGA left too soon giving the Grand Beaver title to Jason Weaver. On Sunday's Hoopla's Top Beaver, Marc had defeated Jason in the finals. Jason even the score on Monday.

Jason "Wonder Boy" Weaver was on his game taking his 7th Grand Beaver title. Jason is joined in the winners circle by dad Brian, Dick Goodman, who presented the Goodman Racing seven and a half foot trophy, plus Jason and April Derr of JD Web who gave the new Dell Lap Top for the big win.

Jason made the Grand Beaver field with this final round win in the Hoopla's Top Beaver over Kenny Kauffman. Kenny laid a .001 light on Jason's .012, but at the stripe Kenny ran out with a 8.666 on a 8.67 to Jason's 9.956 on a 9.95.

The Top ET finals had points leader, Jeff Duck, left side, facing April Derr. Jeff took the tree and the win with a 7.868 on a 7.81 at 158.59 MPH to April's 7.697 on a 7.66 at 178.32 MPH.

Jason Weaver took an automatic win over Dave Gramley in the Modified finals when Dave went red with a -.014 light. Jason took the title with a 10.105 on a 9.95 at 114.95 MPH to Dave's 10.552 on a 9.91 at 98.65 MPH.

It was a father-son battle in Bike with Kenny Kauffman running down dad, Ken with a 8.672 on a 8.70 at 145.06 MPH to Ken's 8.728 on a 8.87 at 143.54.

In the all Mustang Street finals Dale Rhoads is out first over ken Klingman and never gave up the lead winning with a 12.513 on a 12.43 at 101.86 MPH to Ken's 12.295 on a 12.24 at 102.54 MPH.

The Hot Rod Trophy finals went to Kyle Poorman in his Mustang over Al "Howdy" Judy when Al went red with a -.001 light. Kyle ran a 14.850 on a 14.74 at 96.41 MPH to Al's 12.779 on a 12.74 at 103.41 MPH.

In the heads up JR Dragster finals, Rylee Duck in her Guitar Hero entry took the win over Brian "Lil General" Vollman with a 8.026 on a 8.00 Brian's 8.098.

The Lil Beaver finals fell to Tammy Skelly over Cliff Eicher when Cliff ran out.

Danae roles is out first in the JR ATV finals with a .048 light over Brian Vollman. She parlayed the good light into a win running a 11.986 on a 11.88 to Brian's 11.219 on a 11.18 runner up effort.

BONUS SHOTS

The final shot of the weekend was just right. With Beaver Bob, Crazy Dick Goodman and Todd along with Jimmy. Dick has been a force at the Beaver for every one of the 40 years at the Beaver.

Andy Ney was the co-driver in Brandon's win in TCR. Brandon taught him well as Andy was runner up in Saturday's Modified eliminator.

Brian Vollman is out hard after Cliff Eicher in his Mustang in the Lil Beaver race.

Mike McCracken dropped a close one to April Derr in the semi's of Top.

"Snake" Kurtz in his Vega ran a great 10.405 on a 10.39 but it wasn't enough to hold off Dave Gramley's 9.926 on a 9.92 in his Camaro in the Mod semi's.

 English wins Hoopla's Top Beaver

BAIR, KLOCK, HOYLER GO BACK TO BACK

The Hoopla's Top Beaver finals matched Top Champ, Jason Weaver, verses MANDRA Champ, Marc English in his MGA. Marc took the tree with a .041 light to Jason's .058. At the stripe the MGA took the win with a 9.684 on a 9.65 at 136.88 MPH to Jason's game 7.491 on a 7.45 at 174.55 MPH.

Mark English pulled off the biggest wins in his career in winning the Hoopla's Top Beaver title. He defeated three of the best drivers in the business on his way to the crown. First he stopped 2010 IHRA Street Champion, Bob Klock in his 440 Challenger. In the semi's he defeated 2010 Pro Stick Champion, Dan Hoyler, who had just went back to back in wins. In the finals he finished off 4 time Bracket Finals Champ and 7 times BSD Modified Champion, Jason Weaver. It also marked the first time a MANDRA car had won a Top Beaver. Talk about being on your game. Plus we even got Marc to smile!!

Dan Hoyler in his Mustang went back to back in winning Pro Stick over Gordy Foose's `63 Corvette. Dan cranked out a 10.914 on a 10.92 at 121.95 MPH to Gordy's 9.777 on a 9.82. Gordy was honored earlier as one of the original racers to attend the very first race at the Beaver on Memorial Day 1971.

Dan gives a big thumbs up after going back to back.

The MANDRA finals had Allen George in his 409 Chevy leave first over Marc English in his `57 MGA. At the stripe Marc took the win running a 9.704 on a 9.64 at 126.26 MPH to Allen's 10.724 on a 10.68 at 122.59 MPH..

Defending Top ET points champion, Kevin Little, fell in the finals to Jason Weaver in his dragster with a 8.986 on a 8.92 at 141.53 MPH to JW's 7.481 on a 7.44 at 171.78 MPH.

Howie Croster was on a roll with his clean `67 Nova taking the Modified title over Will Leitch's Dart with a 10.664 on a 10.65 at 121.70 MPH to Will's 10.238 on a 10.21 at 129.47 MPH.

Billy Bair's Hayabusa went back to back in winning the IHRA Bike title over Justin Spaid's Ninja 1000. Bill ran a 9.061 on a 9.02 at 146.05 MPH for the in to Justin's 9.581 on a 9.54 at 144.20 MPH.

The finals of Street matched two of the toughest with Bob Klock's Challenger taking the win over Mike Holland's Fairmont with a final round 12.108 on a 12.04 at 102.26 MPH to Mike's run out 13.704 on a 13.72 at 95.18 MPH.

Al "Howdy" Judy was looking good in Hot Rod Trophy but ran into a tough Ashley Held in the finals. Ashley left first and held on for the win with a 12.920 on a 12.85 at 102.12 MPH to stop Al's 12.899 on a 12.75 at 103.40 MPH.

Kyle Kohr fell in the finals of TCR to Shania Taylor's Minotaur Dodger when Shania ran a 11.992 on a 11.98 to Kyle's 10.054 on a 10.00.

Anita Lemin fell in the 3rd round of Hot Rod Trophy.

Zack Miller made it to the 3rd round of Street falling to Mike Holland's Fairmont.

Pro Stick Ford Men, Leonard Long, Dan Hoyler and Matt Kuhlman.

Carp laid one on Dave Davis's Hayabusa and took a first round win.

Frank Jenkins in his classic `57 Corvette, "Snoopy".

In the 1/4 finals of Street, Faron Rhoads took a shot at Bob Klock cutting a .013 light in his "Buzzin' Half Duzzen" Mustang but Bob's .004 stopped him.

Lex Yocum is a threat to win JR ATV every race with his bike.

Due to a lightning strike, we lost our time slip printers for the weekend.
All of the racers pulled together and overcame the problem.

Surprise!! It was sunny all day on Sunday for the first time this season!!

Kevin Kohr is out first in the JR ATV finals over Evan Renninger. Kev had the tree but scrubbed off too much ET giving the title Evan's 12.929 on a 12.84 to his 16.7699 on a 16.29.

BONUS SHOTS

Tim Kauffman look good all day dropping in the semis with a red light.

Charky is out with a good .035 light in his Mustang but Weaver's .004 was too much giving his the win in the semis' with a 7.466 on a 7.43 at 176.43 MPH to Andy's 9.210 on a 9.19 at 148.05 MPH.

In the all MOPAR battle 1/4 finals battle, Will Leitch, in his Ornery Cuss Dart took the win over Jilly Aurand with a 10.239 on a 10.21 at 128.99 MPH to Jill's 11.071 on a 11.05 at 118.95 MPH.

Jason Keeler's front engined dragster is lined up against Dave Gramley in the 1/4 finals of Modified. Jason had Dave on the tree but ran out with a 9.919 on a 9.92 at 136.57 MPH to Dave's 9.470 on a 9.44 at 120.91 MPH.

 Klock wins Hoopla's Top Beaver

The Hoopla's Top Beaver finals came down to a Street verses Modified battle with Bob Klock's Challenger taking the title over Allen Chamberlin's Camaro. Bob cut a better .030 to .047 light and held on for the win running a 12.059 on a 12.04 at 109.94 MPH to Allen's 8.985 on a 8.97 at 150.90 MPH.

Bob and Tammy in the winner's circle for his Hoopla's Top Beaver and Street win. The 2010 IHRA Bracket Finals Champion was on all day and all night long. Looks like Bobby is ready to go to bed.

MANDRA champion, Lew Stitley, left too soon in his English Brother's Jag handing the win over to Bob Klock's Challenger in round one of Top Beaver.

Modified champ, Allen Chamberlin had the tree and the track in his first round win in the Hoopla's Top Beaver race.

Billy Bair is out first in the Hoopla's Top Beaver race over Heather Putt but fell to her .007 light and top end charge.

Steve Lenig suffered a case of staging jitters and left before the 3rd amber giving the Top ET title to Heather Putt. Heather carded a 7.887 on a 7.84 at 170.97 MPH for the win.

YES!!! Heather Putt won the Top ET Iron Man.

With their burnout tire smoke obscuring the photo, Andy Ney is out first in the Modified finals in his S-10 over Allen Chamberlin. Allen had the tree and forced Andy to run under carding a 9.005 on a 8.98 forcing Andy to run a 11.173 on a 11.19 at 117.97 MPH.

Ryan Karns ended his quest for a first Bike title when he drew a red light against Billy Bair's `Busa. Bill took the title with a 9.000 on a 9.03 at 154.24 MPH to Ryan's 10.312 on a 10.34 at 134.44 MPH.

The Street finals matched Ken Klingman in his Mustang against IHRA Champion, Bob Klock in his Challenger. Ken left first with a .015 light to Bob's .012. At the stripe it was Bob taking the win with a 12.093 on a 12.02 at 102.58 MPH to Ken's run out 12.213 on a 12.22 at 106.92 MPH

The Hot Rod Trophy finals was a Ford verses Chevy battle with the Ford of Bob Olewiler taking the title over Yoda Kocher's Camaro by running a 13.297 on a 13.25 at 102.21 MPH to Yoda's 12.257 on a 12.24 at 109.93 MPH.

In the G-Force Pro Tree race. Eric Strohm got the head start and never gave it up taking the win over New York's Larry Carasea's Camaro with a 9.927 on a 9.90 at 133.90 MPH to Larry's 9.605 on a 9.57 at 141.04 MPH

Bob Klock's 440 Challenger was too tough to stop on Saturday winning both Street and the Hoopla's Top Beaver title.

The Nostalgia Dragster match race went to Audrey Worm's Ford powered
entry over Jason Keeler's injected Chevy.

Jake Wood and Rylee Duck met in the finals of JR Dragster with Jake taking the title with a 7.993 on a 7.93 to Rylee's 8.094 on a 7.99.

Cait Holland is out first in Gram's Mercury and never looked back at Neal Rose in his Durango. Cait took the win with a 11.840 on a 11.68 to Neal's 10.910 on a 10.88.
Tanner Turnbaugh faced off with Bryce Vollman for the JR ATV title. Bryce had the tree but Tanned forced him to run under recording a 12.313 on a 12.25 to Bryce's 16.588 on a 16.63. It was close.!!

BONUS SHOTS

Heather Putt was the lady of the night winning Top ET.

Does this face look familure? It should. It's former Super Pro Champion Steve Lenig. After a 12 year hiatus, Steve is back and right in the hunt taking a runner up in Saturday's action.

Will isn't giving any secrets away to Andy.

Looks like Andy didn't need any as he stopped Will in the semi's with a 11.231 on a 11.19 to Will's 10.222 on a 10.22 with a better, .028 to .093 light.
